Some expected that the second/third wave of Covid would see the market crash to the levels witnessed soon after the initial outbreak in March this year. So, in anticipation of a similar scenario they sold their portfolio holdings subsequent to the news outbreak of Covid second wave with the expectation to buy back the shares when it hits rock bottom.
They never expected that the investors have become immune to the covid threat after the recovery from initial outbreak and had decided that similar to countries in the region have to coexist with the pandemic adhering to the control measures taken by the relevant authorities. Based on this investor sentiment, attitude & expectation the market witnessed high turnovers and growth.
The people who expected a crash have turned out to be a disappointed, disgruntled angry group with the only motive to dampen the investor sentiment highlighting and giving prominence to any news/posts adverse to the stock market without any justification whatsoever particularly targeting value shares that are poised to perform well. Please do not get caught to these low level ploys resorted to by these unscrupulous elements.
As some member remarked recently investors don't make decisions based on this forum posts. But nevertheless i decided to highlight this in the interest of some innocent investors who may be misled & misdirected by these elements.
