Valuable shares are being silently collected, they will not let the price go up until their collection is done. Those who panicky and sell will have losses, those who collect fundamental shares will win. That's what happens in CSE all the time.

how do they control the price and collecting at the same time, could you please explain.
one possible way is to sell their shares , collect and sell at the same time?
the other possible way is using a large sell order, what would happen there are buyers who willing to buy at that price.

if you mention one of above way, sorry i don't buy it.
anyway i am eager to know how they control the prices.

@kevinmikegrit is right! Well coordinated manipulators are scheming to get their hands on higher selling price.

In addition, I did a little digging on info which is public and it is possible that HNB itself reduced their holdings of shares to service the maturing debentures, and in the process panicked and sold by dumping at lower prices

Even I have read/heard the same phrase in multiple forums. The only what that I know is for a HNWI to buy at a discounted price is by a crossing.other than that i too feel if you just buy in the open market supply / demand theory will come into play naturally and the price gets adjusted...

there are lot of phrases like this,
ex: huge collection is going on
so no one ask that "do they collect from the sky"? if huge collection is going on , that means selling is also huge, one party might be slowly dump monitoring the demand.

but people like to hear what they want to hear.

I didn't mention huge collection, my comment was about silent collection. HNI s will collect with small buying orders and if they see the price move more than a few points they will dump a few share which have higher market cap. They will also use the method of selling a small quantity of good shares to control the price. This will drop the ASPI, and retail investors who don't understand about fundamental values will start entering selling orders to minimise losses even on stronger shares.

This happens in all exchanges as people or institutions with huge funds can play this game easily. All it takes is a few we'll connected individuals to play the game in tandem. And yes most of the HNI s play in tandem to manipulate the market. All they care about is increasing their money and profits. And its not a bad thing, the responsibility is on the retailers to understand how they are being played. The sad truth is that many refuse to believe this and are too naive to see it.

I have to mention I'm not a stock Guru and I invest only in a handful of companies and assets which I believe to grow in the future with value growth and dividend growth. I do not trade, 90% of the time I buy and hold for ever, so my comments will never be suitable for someone who is looking for a quick profit within a year.

As per my observations I also believe your points are valid in the present market, groups who manipulated the market kind of partly lost or stuck using of old manipulating methods due to lot of  new small to medium investors entering the market and using margin, so as new strategies were  required to  counter the problem they brokered/triggered a deal so all of sudden officials took interest first how people use margin in few selected stocks then went on  issuing circulars creating havoc in the market, now, though the fear is not fully eliminated , damage is done and dust is almost settled   later those groups have started collecting  shares of their fancy in small to medium quantities at the same time  dumping small amounts or Large quantities as required if price moves up suddenly (this could be between similar party accounts)  any how this indicate that market is to go up when the collection is done , It is for us to understand emerging new strategies and invest with prudence and  scrutiny while staying current on political/economic conditions ( My personal opinion only)

Curious to know why off board deals are done at higher rates , than first clear what s available on the board , and get to pre - planned deal.
That would have given the market a real boost.
Appriciate a clarification on above from someone whose knowledgeable about the subject

Some off-board deals are done at higher rates when there is a general expectation that the share price will rise.

Assume that I am very eager to buy a large quantity of shares that you own because I am quite certain that the price will rise in future. If I bought what's available on the board (smaller quantity), that would drive the price up and I still would not have the large quantity that I want.

On the other hand, you would not be willing to sell at market price because you also expect some price increase; you would insist on a premium or something extra for selling your shares.

So, we would strike an off-market deal and get it executed through our respective brokers.
