Colombo, August 26 (Xinhua)-The Sri Lankan government has revised the export fees imposed on gems by the National Gem and Jewelery Authority (NGJA) to allow online gemstone trading, local media reported here Thursday. rice field.

Therefore, industry stakeholders will be able to provide relief on the fees charged for gemstone exports and export gemstones online. Official figures show that exports of gems, diamonds and jewelery in the first seven months of 2021 were $ 183 million, compared to $ 90 million in 2020.
