Where ever it go , will come back soon after ANK take the post of CB governor. He is the one who always took CSE as the super example of success in his super duper government. Ishara, Dammika, Ashok and many super people will make it a reality. Be positive every body , forget about technical analysis and other stuf jut concentrate and focus only on this one and only super system works . These super people can do anything and can turn any situation upside down in any moment. Don’t get panic if you are not trading on credit ,

This panic selling was done deliberately to pull down the price. May be they want to collect it at lower price, because coming months are the best months for Expo, specifically quarter report. I’m still holding my quantity, never thought of selling single share. Added more shares to my portfolio. There are many positive reasons to hit 10000ASPI, so don’t panic.

We should ignore the short term price fluctuations due to ASI drop and few profit realizing/selling's.
If we intelligent and if we know the EXPOs business expansions, future expected growth and future promising - should keep our faith, without worrying short term fluctuations.

I believe EXPO further deliver ever amazing financials for Q2 and same as Q3.

Just gone thru the market report on today and few highlights for USA segment....

USA
Air Freight market is tight with most airlines facing backlog of cargo/ Most facilities are 1 week behind / There is an increase in rates / Rates have increased due to rise in demand for airfreight.
Ocean Freight market is tight and space is limited / Market is at peak capacity as peak season is in full swing / Space leading to upcoming holiday / The season will continue to create demand pre and post holiday / There is a large increase in rates / rates are expected to continue to increase for 2nd half of Sept. / Carriers have also announced additional destination fee increases from Europe and ISC trade lanes.

Happy Trading....!

Hi all,

Global large RETAILERS are rushing to find space to TRANSPORT items before the BLACK FRIDAY & CHRISTMAS season. This is what retailers tell about present market situation

“Price is under great pressure, too, and rates are continuing to rise in certain markets. Capacity is also likely to be under greater pressure over the next months as online retailers utilise space in the run-up to Christmas and the automotive supply chain improves.
“We are expecting this to rumble on for the foreseeable future”

The mainstream press is now awash in articles on global supply chain breakdowns, exorbitant shipping costs, clogged ports, emptying store shelves and rising inflation. That’s good news for sentiment toward many (but not all) ocean shipping stocks.
After a summer lull, shares of bulker owners, container lines, container-ship lessors and liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers are moving up again and hitting new peaks. Stocks of crude and product tanker owners — who are heavily exposed to delta variant fallout — have yet to join the party.

Big day for dry bulk stocks

Shares of three dry bulk shipping stocks — Safe Bulkers (NYSE: SB), Diana Shipping (NYSE: DSX) and Genco Shipping & Trading (NYSE: GNK) — attained 52-week highs on Monday. Other dry bulk equities are near annual tops.
The Breakwave Dry Bulk Shipping ETF (NYSE: BDRY), an exchange-traded fund that purchases freight futures, traded Monday at the highest level since the ETF’s inception in March 2018.
Rates for Capesizes (bulkers with capacity of around 180,000 deadweight tons or DWT) surged 15% on Monday to $52,900 per day, with rates for Panamaxes (65,000-90,000 DWT) and Supramaxes (45,000-60,000 DWT) at or near decade highs, at $32,400 and $34,900 per day, respectively. Even so, dry bulk rates are still nowhere near pinnacles reached in 2007-2008.
Shares of Safe Bulkers jumped 17% in five times the average trading volume on Monday. In general, shares of dry bulk stocks have risen by around 200%-400% over the past year, in several cases outpacing container stocks.

EXPOLANKA HOLDINGS PLC (EXPO.N0000) - Page 18 Dry-bulk-stocks-1200x480

(Chart: Koyfin)

Container stocks’ September peak

Container-ship lessor Euroseas (NASDAQ: ESEA) hit its 52-week high on Monday, although most container stocks pulled back by the low single digits during that trading session. Many of the other container shipping equities reached 52-week highs this month: Global Ship Lease (NYSE: GSL) and Costamare (NYSE: CMRE) on Friday, ZIM (NYSE: ZIM) and Matson (NYSE: MATX) on Sept. 6, and Danaos (NYSE: DAC) the week before that.
Most container liner and ship-lessor stocks are up around 100%-400% over the past year, with Danaos and Euroseas being outliers, up 1,508% and 1,204%, respectively.
EXPOLANKA HOLDINGS PLC (EXPO.N0000) - Page 18 Container-stocks-2-1200x469

Tankers tread water — except for LNG carriers

The pandemic has been a positive for container stocks due to higher U.S. consumer demand and widespread port congestion reducing effective transport capacity. Freight rates and charter rates remain at record levels. COVID has also been positive for dry bulk stocks as pandemic precautions at ports have tied up capacity.
In contrast, COVID has been negative for crude and product tanker stocks, with global oil demand taking longer to recover than expected due to the delta variant.
Most tanker stocks have been treading water over the past year. Scorpio Tankers (NYSE: STNG) is the best performer, up 24%, albeit underperforming the S&P 500. Nordic American Tankers (NYSE: NAT) — a longtime favorite of retail traders — is the worst performer, down 40%.

But not all is doom and gloom in energy shipping. Specialized tankers that carry LNG are enjoying strong demand.

The spread is now exceptionally high between the U.S. natural gas benchmark on one hand and the benchmarks in Europe and Asia on the other. A wide spread incentivizes LNG shipping demand as traders and energy companies profit from buying gas in the U.S. and selling it overseas. According to Cleaves Securities, the spread between the U.S. and Japan hub prices is almost $17 per million British thermal units and the U.S.-U.K. spread is over $15.
Flex LNG (NYSE: FLNG), the LNG shipping company backed by shipping tycoon John Fredriksen, debuted on Wall Street in June 2019. The stock is up 185% over the past year. On Monday, it not only hit its 52-week high, it hit its highest price since it began trading in the U.S.

Just thought of sharing valuable information saw on Twitter. 75% of Expo shares traded during past few days collected above Rs.160. Currently It’s on last phase of accumulation mode. From Rs 60-80 it went up to Rs.190, so collection between Rs.160-180 will send the price above Rs.300. Best thing is all happening before 2nd quarter results. Big players will try to send this to moon with coming quarter results.

Bullish signs: Maersk revision, Evergreen report, Deutsche Bank ‘super cycle’ call

Seven months ago, Maersk CEO Soren Skou touted Q4 2020 as “the best quarter ever.” Announcing the initial outlook for this year on Feb. 10, he said the best-case scenario “would basically mean for us to do four times what we did in the fourth quarter.”
That outlook has long since been left in the dust. On Thursday, Maersk revised its numbers skyward yet again.
The second half is now looking even more profitable for ocean carriers — and more ominous for cargo shippers — than the first. But the second half may not be the peak: A new forecast from Deutsche Bank argues that container shipping has entered a “super cycle” and ocean carriers will actually rake in more money in 2022 than they will this year.
According to Stifel analyst Ben Nolan, “Container craziness should abate, although we expect not until sometime later next year or perhaps even in 2023.”

Maersk upgrades guidance — again

In February, Maersk announced full-year guidance for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $8.5 billion-$10.5 billion. The high end of the range was roughly quadruple Q4 2020 EBITDA of $2.7 billion.
After the first quarter came in better than the fourth, Maersk upgraded its 2021 guidance to $13 billion-$15 billion. By early August, it was clear that the third quarter would be better than the second, thus another upgrade, to $18 billion-$19.5 billion.

Maersk said Thursday that it expects 2021 EBITDA of $22 billion-$23 billion. The new midpoint is 137% higher than the February midpoint.

Maersk’s first-half EBITDA was $9.1 billion. It now predicts substantially higher earnings in the second half: $12.9 billion-$13.9 billion.
Clarksons Platou Securities analyst Frode Mørkedal pointed out that Maersk is expecting $7 billion in EBITDA in the third quarter and close to that — up to $6.9 billion — in the fourth. “In other words, Maersk now signals that there could be no normalization in rates this year,” he said.

Record monthly revenues for Evergreen

Another signal on second-half strength comes from Taiwan-based ocean carrier Evergreen, which publicly reports monthly operating revenues.
Evergreen’s operating revenues hit all-time highs during the past two months: 45.88 billion New Taiwan dollars (NT$), the equivalent of $1.65 billion, in July, and NT$50.02 billion last month ($1.8 billion).
Evergreen took in almost as much in the first two months of the third quarter as it did in the entire second quarter.

Deutsche Bank makes ‘super cycle’ call

On Monday, U.K.-based Deutsche Bank Andy Chu published an exceptionally bullish report on container shipping.
“We are moving to the view that earnings will peak in 2022, not this year,” wrote Chu. “We feel that there is a material positive surprise to 2022 and 2023 forecasts [for carriers] that is yet to be factored into consensus forecasts.”
In May, Chu had expected that “supply chain disruption and port disruption trends would begin to improve … which would drive down spot rates.”
“However, since that time, what has become apparent to us is that not only do we now see container demand being stronger for a longer period of time, but the supply chain issues and port congestion issues are deteriorating and not improving,” said Chu. “Given the high amount of port congestion and lingering nature of COVID-19, we think that these issues will not be quickly resolved.”
Deutsche Bank hiked its 2021 EBITDA outlook for Maersk to $22.18 billion (prior to the carrier’s latest upward revision) and now believes Maersk will make even more money next year: $23.77 billion.
Deutsche Bank sees the same pattern of rising profits for Germany’s Hapag-Lloyd, which has an internal outlook (as of late July) for 2021 EBITDA of $9.2 billion-$11.2 billion. It forecasts Hapag-Lloyd will earn $11.54 billion this year and even more — $11.88 billion — next year.
