poor quarter this time.. but given the festive season can expect tafl and gran to do better!

Read the CEO comment in their Q financials..

"During the quarter under review, there has been significant outstanding overdue debts to foreign suppliers as a result of the severe shortage of US Dollars in the country. Due to this forex shortage, the banks have taken prolonged period to process LCs which would otherwise need only one day.
Additionally, the banks have been insisting on usance periods as long as 180 days. As a result, foreign suppliers are abstaining from supplying raw materials due to delays in settlement and unfavourable trade terms & conditions. This has not only adversely affected the raw material availability for production but also caused costs to rise and consequently, the Group was compelled to curtail its production. These unfavourable business conditions are expected to continue into 2022, and are anticipated to affect the company's performance as well as the poultry industry as a whole in the short to medium term"

It seems they have dollar debts to be settled and they are facing difficulties to settle same, as he stated.

However, BFL and CIC poultry done good during last Q. It is surprise that how GRAN only facing such a issue..

Nevertheless, Coming Qs good for poultry sector as:
- Govt remove the MRP for chicken
- Festive seasons
- Tourism is picking up..

Good to hang on poultry shares for next 2 quarters and my pick is BFL.. and target will be 300 by Jan 2022
