There is a high probability of TAFL breaking out soon. Only time will tell.

why do you exactly think so gann? do you see any similarity in the pattern of LOLC when it was trading between 135-140 for more than 1 month (mid january to late february) before it broke its support levels? is it due to a loss in investor confidence? probably the same can be applied for the case of TAFL. but then again it has fallen from some 240's continuously for some time and at 100-115 levels it must be looking attractive as it is trading at a reasonable PE ratio.

I dont see any selling pressure. its trading between 100 to 108 with low volume. there are couple of failed breakout attempts as well. And many are holding this stock. they need to start averaging it at some point.
As for LOLC many were very optimist those days. So that held the price flat for quite a bit of time. same goes for rich.

i see. i just took a look at the charts. well as far as the MACD is concerned. shorter average is gradually starting to diverge from the longer average. even the stochastic and RSI is indicating it as a buy. like you said, it could breakout anytime. i dont have TAFL in my PF. hope no one will base their buying decision merely on my post. i could be very wrong.

TAFL has a down channel pattern, it has just pased the 30 range of stochastics and looks positive on MACD, SAR as well.

Support at 100, 101.1 as well.. Low volumes..

ok bro, here is the last reported qtr financials

http://www.cse.lk/cmt/upload_report_file/491_1305023341174.pdf

watch this
Basic Earnings Per Share (Rs.) 1.75
Accumulated Losses C/F (435,379)

ok,hope they made 1.75 per 4 qtrs, then EPS-7Rs,but this is not logical, this may vary in times to times
PE=(86/7)=12times
do u say this PE is good?then see followings also

and also look how big liabilities they got
*Total Equity 457,388
*Total Liabilities 1,500,611

there is many more which trading in lower levels with strong financials
boru hypes should suffer

This market does not always work with fundamentals. It does not always. We cannot simply go by the ratios. For instance take the current rallies in finance companies. How many of us managed to get the stock at lower levels. This is only my opinion. What is see is very soon their can be a poultry rally. Again this only my view, because comparatively prices have come a long way down.

TAFL EPS for 2010 is 0.02 + 1.04 + 3.37 + 5.29 = 9.73

We can decide EPS by multiplying one quarter EPS*4.

2011 first quarter EPS is 1.57.
Rather than multiplying we can say the current EPS = 1.57 + 1.02 + 3.37 + 5.29 = 11.28
Accordingly PE = 87/11.28 = 7.71.

Please correct me if i'm wrong.

I have very small quantity of TAFL with me so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt.

I think TALF will probably post an eps of 3+ this quarter, provided their is no shortage of maize(corn) in this country at the moment. This last element is very important. If someone can confirm the status of maize cultivations then I can be more confident about my prediction
