IOC will supply 12-13 parcels of fuel to Sri Lanka over the next 4-5 months against a tender issued by the Ceylon Petroleum Corp.

CPC getting oil from LIOC at high price and selling at huge loss. whats the logic?

How long can CPC conduct" Oil dansal " ?

LIOC will make more profits this time.
They have hedged crude oil price.

Black Gold Opportunity from Russia

The Russian energy company that sent representatives to Sri Lanka recently had presented the government with an MoU, National Freedom Front (NFF) leader, Wimal Weerawansa said in Parliament on Wednesday.

If the Wickremesinghe administration was willing to sign the MoU, the Russians would supply fuel to Sri Lanka on credit, Weerawansa said.

“We can get crude oil from Russia about 10-15% discount below the market price. Discussions had been held with state officials, the Minister of Power and Energy and the Central Bank Governor and the Russians are willing to give us a 300 million dollar credit limit, each month,” Weerawansa said.

The liquid gold issued under ration is still in great demand. In addition to LIOC increasing its distribution outlets you can expect a greater role in the Trinco tank farm soon given the fact of China's dominance in Hambantota Port. Its all about maintaining balance between China & India as both are of equal importance to Sri Lanka.

Queues are back on Galle Road. This means supply is low. We could probably see new shipments coming in finishing soon due to scarcity. LIOC could easily rally now...
