This can drive out currency speculators.

Win-win situation for both imports and exports. (In the current scenario only exporters and speculators are getting bigger margin)

Some remedy for inflation.

Contrary to some experts' suggestions dollar didn’t stabilize despite floating.

Any ideas!

The rupee will stabilize gradually under CB's new management

Now the central bank is headed by a Real Ecomist and very honest person from Rural Sri Lana

He will not be another STOCK MARKET MANUPLATER

I think thing will stabize once exports pickup

Despite raising rates rupee plummeted. Last resort is temporary capital control? Foreign outflow should be limited to basic human necessities such as food and medicine and industry raw materials. Foreign education, gold import and other luxury items should not be in the priority list. Gold cannot eat and cannot create energy. Any ideas?
