don't worry. I had this experince more than two times. One was when goverment change in 1994 . Only thing is you hv to be patient. If you in Fixed Deposit mantelity, you can't bear this lost. anyway this is unrealized loss untill you sell at a loss. you should hv mindset of investing not to be a casino player who looks for shaort term gain.
Otherthing is if you invest on good fundamently strong companies when stock price is going down it doesn't mean that your good compnayis becoming bad. They do their business to improve investors value.
for example : if X compnay sells chicken, and share price going down doesn't mean their sales went down.
only thing is you hv to wait till others see value of your investment and buy them for a good price.
Disclouser - My current urealized loss now -745,000
in 1994 1M
uptonow profit gained (reaized) - 1.7M
be happy alsway Smile

MORE RISK MORE RETRUN. If you are a young person, don't worry to take risk. In Sri Lanka young people are reluctant to take risk.
That's why in Sri lanka we don't hv much Entrepreneur.

EVEN LAST YEAR MARKET CAME DOWN LIKE THIS AFTER CREDIT RULE. remember one day it came down 5%. So dont loose it man.. hold the breath.

even my PF shows 20% unrealized loses. we cant do anything have to wait. dont even think about credit... just hold it.

Hi Wiser, sorry to be off the topic in this thread. If u had unrealized loss of 1Mn in 1994 you should have had a sizable investment at that time, considering your investment and the profit that you have gained (1.75Mn so far), i feel that you should seriously look at your investment adviser/ strategy.

Just a quick note I have in 2011 gained more realized profit than you have gained so far, with much small investment. please dont think this as a hype or boasting myself, my being in this forum is to help fellow members.

My current unrealized loss is around 160000 but this is not the first time this happen, market will bounce back sooner or later

It's tough..but I went through this many a times...even last year..I have a unrealized loss of nearly 1.5Mn from LGL itself (I bought at 45). But I am not worried at all...just hold your nerves and hold on to your stocks..you will see the results...

Sure, agreed, but we have no more to buy. Every penny meant for investing now stuck in this f------ market. Have no idea to touch savings. Also can't quit with huge losses. My total loss is around 25% from what I have invested.

Anyway, totally agreed that CSE favors huge investors at the peril of poor small scale investor's skin. They may be getting their cut.

Market will not be bearish forever or bullish forever, It is difficult however, My cumulative loss is 1.2 Million.
I will not sell until they go up. I will sell them in 3 years time.

There are things with good performance they go up and down effortlessly. But with time and due to some other external factors performance become weaker and will not go up like earlier. Persistent up also not good cos once it down will not go up again. Very Happy

Hey.... If you can't absorb this pressure you should not invest in stock market. Just go and put an FD.....

My loss is in excess of 700,000 bucks.

There is only one rule..... that is whatever goes up it will come down....whatever goes down will go up again. Be optimistic....................

Cse guys always try to market internally (seminars, TV program), but they haven’t any investment promotions externally.
