well my friends, the CFLB interim financial statement can be downloaded from the CSE website.
http://www.cse.lk/cmt/upload_report_file/504_1297677052538.12.10%20CFLB.pdf

I leave it to you to argue whether the growth justifies a 170% increase in share price seen since the start of the year.

hey mono, you were thinking what would happen if LCEY doent earn EPS of 10 right? Twisted Evil

I think Lcey exceeded expectations and CFLB has stayed on course. Lets keep an eye on segmental profits during the next few quarters. Over all I think CFLB and the group are on the right track if they can go in for a split or even rights to spice up things well its going to be a nice couple of quarters in the future.

Happy Hunting!

guys,
In terms of price where should CFLB head?

Nine months ended EPS = 20.65. Annualized = 20.65/3*4 = 27.53

Diversified Sector EPS = 36.5

So expected price adjustment = 27.53*36.5 = 1005 Smile

Seems CFLB should trade somewhere between 800-1000.

What do you all think?

There was a hotel sector boom. IPO sector went up, then paltry sector, Gas sector, PC sector also went up, then there was a plantation and palm oil sector appreciation of share prices, cars sector also went up, next most likely recovery will be diversified sector, huna sector, vegetable sector, distillery sector and the banking and finance sector. Diversified and Banking & finance sector EPS continue to keep up realistic.

Apparently that's what a lot of people who are stuck with this share believe. Well for their sake, i hope it's not rights because as you can see, rights haven't been well received of late.

Shareholders of CFLB and Lankem companies should be very careful. The band of directors of these companies will steal your money every way possible. See LDEV rights scam. They're moving an asset from one sister company to another sister company and asking the shareholders to pay for it. SEC should investigate these scams and put the directors in jail.

I find some of my personal experience in the past with some rights issues are useful reminders, ultimately most of the profits go to the group leader, I think CFLB is better than LCEY, it was the same with KHL, and JKH was the most benefitted from the earlier KHL rights issue. These are all personal observations I know it is difficult to apply same thing for every rights issue. Some rights issues are very attractive.

Its a fundametally strong stock. But dont not try to give anything for the shareholders. For last two years they gave me just a Rs0.50 per share as dividends which is extremely low compare to their EPS.

But moving assets is not something new to CSE. They do this to reduce government tax.

Janashakthi group is the King of moving assets not CFLB

Didn't mean to imply that you were a panic buyer, just that there was a lot of panic buying.
As fr being worth more than this, mmm. CFLB had YoY earnings growth of 51% and at currently prices CFLB is trading about 150% higher than it's 2010 year end price.
