They are governed by the CBSL and other monetary rules, regulations, guidelines and minimum reserves etc. etc.
So customers just cannot wait, business has to go on.
Who jumps into the meelee. Yes! Its the Leasing and Finance Companies. They have less regulations. Once apon a time, all they had to have to start business was to have a large Photo of you know who at the entrance to their office and the customers were calmed and they put faith in them. Now its slightly more difficult but in comparison easy.
Lately there were many IPO's for this sort and they realized that they had to grab the business by introducing inovative products and services business from banks and also giving the KIK to other middlemen. Just like cargills did to the middlemen.
So the way forward is to invest in Finance & leasing congos.
Bank interest rates would coome down, and so would profits. These banks cannot take the risks that finance companies can take. Recovery is no issue for them (Plenty of armed men to hire). Banks have to pay exorbitant legal fees to fight cases.
