The market turn around is due to this rumour. That means the trend in international markets has not much affected the CSE.

Now the question is why they took such a long time to realise there is a problem in the market and waited so long until the market has taken a sharp free fall.

Whoever who takes the upper seats should be able to see far beyond an average person could see and take decision which will be in facour the organisation they take care of. That is the very reason they are give higher perks compaired to an average person. Any future decisions they take should be able to arrest any threats / identify any weakneses in the systems and see future opportunities which can make the stock market more vibrant in the long run.

So now the things have happened and we are just on lookers of what has been going on. At least from here onwards we expect the board to take more practical and justifiable approach to the affairs of the market and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

In English langauge there is a word called INCOMPETENCE, its meant to be used in situations like this. lol!

There is another word, IMPOTENCE, which explains why they do not crack down on insider trading! lol!

With my little knowledge on the market, I believe allowing more and more credit would worsen the situation in the long run, unless they remove force selling power from broker firms.
Small investors most of the time will look for credit facilities and get stuck at the T+5 force selling if the market doesn't move positive direction.

It's a bit funny the way it went out whoever pushed this 'favorable' news to the media. Probably whoever were expecting a huge downfall today. So whoever has announced the carrot. Brokers had a meeting. Market goes up. Brokers have another meeting. Market goes up. Brokers signed the letter. Market goes up. Brokers gave the letter. Market goes up. SEC looked at it. Marked goes up. SEC is reading the proposal. Market goes up.

In reality brokers are giving credit already. But so far not wal buru credit.

Why do you have to force sell if the brokers check the customer history and check whether the brokers had to force sell before or whether the customer has proper margin accounts setup? Do we have records? No they don't go out of brokers huts. If brokers had to force sell those records should be published like the CRIB reports so that those debtors are not allowed to buy more. The same as when you give loans.

Deva, If they go for margin trading, there is no any force selling.

Yes brother, Credit plays a major role in any Economy, any buiseness. For instance well over 90% of our major food items are trading on credit in 4th cross street without any problem. No highly educated cosultants or businessmen. No combersome prcedures, formats etc,No complains and system works smoothly. The daily buisness there may be higher than CSE turnover.

No doubt credit is an essential element in the economy, what cannot be understood is the way regulators tackled the whole issue. So funny...

Will SEC compensate poor investors whose shares were force sold due to their earlier decision? SEC has to bite their own tail.... This incompetence is what drives away foreign investors, insider dealings, similarly incompetent brokers, and overall loss of confidence in the market.

now, ...they say that they are going to respond favorably....It has to be regulated credit... .....SEC might come out with some solutions after considering some favorable factors and within certain limitations……..... Very Happy Smile

This is more of INCONSISTENCY, just wait and see they may give a favorable decision this time around and change their minds again in 6 months when the Market gets overheated....the rules and regulations keep on changing and insiders are the winners... Mad
