Asha philips - doesn't care about retails

Capital alliance - reluctant to give online trading and clueless investment advisers

SC Securities - Total disarray when sending refunds and clueless investment advisers

ACUITY is OK, defend on the adviser so far so good more than 12 years (Previouly HNB stock Brokers)

I hate advisers who ask us to buy when counters reach the peak speculating it will go up further without any fundamental reason when the price go down we are stuck with a loss making counter

That may be because they want buyers to distribute the shares of their favourite customers. I am always skeptical about these broker advices. I have heard numereous horrible stories in the past.

I cant say worst. but bad, no comparison with others.

For me they are not providing fundamentals.
No Mobile facility.
Cant invest or withdraw money quickly. indirect deposits (through banks) will take 4 to 5 day.

these are from my personal experience.

Asha Phillip provides online trading only when your portfolio reaches Rs.200,000. So I think it's not very good for small investors. I hear Asia Securities and Capital Trust gives online facility without such limit.

Every broker firm has clueless advisers, not sure they are qualified as advisers.
Two weeks ago I asked my adviser to tell me some good counters for medium to long term investment(Though I never follow their advise). He replied me that long term investing is not going to work these days, and advise me to buy Chilaw Finance and CLPL warrents affraid

Capital alliance Advices are worst. They never advice for any thing. Even though we asked, they (she) ignore it. Never reply e-mails. So I used to asked every things from their CEO then. He is a good guy.

I am Playing with Asia & My advicer most of times depend on my advices. At least he don't know How to read financial statements.Most times he is buying shares for others with my advice.

Ohhh my I feel sorry for you mate, I have the same problem with capital alliance Crying or Very sad

I think they should train their people or recruit some good FA's with education and knowledge

Capital trust is fat better than Bartleet. I was started with Bartleet and started onther account with Capital. Their online system, Advices are more professional and accurate than Bartleet. If I score Capital online system 8 out of 10 , I should give only 2 out of 10 for Bartleet.

I have account with NDB... It is not worst but there are things to adjust
They are...
Rights not convert if the balance not in account in advance
Special Predictions(They said Sey value 120 when it is 80 and then drop to 65,Latest they saying NTB value 100, i m afraid coz holding 65 avarage, after their prediction i dont know what happen will go to below 50?)

Capital Trust....

They are not giving account statement in their system.. careful..
NDB giving this coz nothing to hide.

NDB stock brokers are the worst. They don't tolerate retailers. I had a broker there.He doesn't even bother to answer a call. One day when I went to its office to meet my broker, the lady who was in the reception told me that I can't talk to him because he is busy. (It was the Softlogic IPO openiong day)

It also take nearly a week to send a cheque

To me Bartleet is the worst...
Their online system sucks. I don't know how they treat big investors but they don't even respond or answer our calls..

JB is the best for me. The Adviser is very friendly and knowledgeable. Also their system is fantastic.

Note: I have worked with very few brokers only.

Log in to Atrade system.Then we can get account statement.DirectFN does not provide that.

I have lost the faith on brokers long ago. Most of them are either clueless, ignorant, omit or take us on a ride most of the times as I understand. I just get their information as a routine but never consider those as buying or selling advises. I just do my home works and take my decisions.

My last experience was during the previous BFL rally where my broker was calling me several times to advice me to dispose my shares around 420/= .It was obvious that it was going up with a good buying pressure and I was in a comfortable position to hold on some more days. I still can not justify why he made that suggestion. What ever I just kept the shares and disposed it around 480/=.

This time he is advising me to dispose some of my GREG.W0006 at 34/= . Need to work on that and think little more. Laughing
