Now credit facilities were given. All we are happy. But market is volatile. So pl stop & think what has happened?

It is known that 10 brokers are not qualified to grant Credit. So they need to increase their liquidity. For that they need to clear more Credit. You know how. GREAT FORCED SELLING............ Now some brokers granting credit while some are doing forced selling.......... what is the result............ will market rise...............? CSE is such a wise to stay sleepy till credit goes up-to 9b and introduced rules to regulate market which resulted near crash situation in the market........... now solutions has been given again to rebuild the image and credibility of the market................Now........... COLOMBO STOCK MARKET IS VERY CLOSE TO BE THE MIRACLE OF ASIA......... MAY BE IN WORLD............. Who is going to be honored for these kind of wise regulating................. I REPORTED........YOU DECIDE........

I saw in another thread that they are making representations to CSE on this issue. Very interesting to see the out come. If they are unsuccesful then it will be a problem for those brokers to operate in this market. Actually it is good to have brokers with good liquidity as I presume it will help for a healthier market in the long run. Anyway it is the brokers who made representation and CSE has given their verdict. May be they have given a indirect signal to brokers with liquidity problems to have a second thought whether to be in or out of the market.

Then, does that imply high turnover in the market is mostly a fake turnover, and ASI 7000 is a credit inflated bubble ASI? How does credit release work? It works both ways if there is a fee for transactions both ways.

I'm with Asia Securities. When I inquired about the new rules, my broker told me,
forced selling starts at T+10 now. Charging interest is the same as before which is T+3.
How about other brokering firms?

Looks like force selling is still going on. Could be the reason for downturn of the market yesterday. Brokers having liquidity problems keep on doing this as they have no other option as per the latest directives of CSE. Coming weeks will be interesting to see what will be the market like and thoughts and actions of these 10 brokers (mentioned in the first message).

Yes Raj, we might be able to hear some news from authorities or brokers in this regard or may be these brokers will continue to force sell. If they continue to force sell then there will be a mismatch in the market as some enjoy longer credit than some other
investors whose accounts are with brokers with liquidity problems. So these brokers will have to either improve their liquidity situation or get an ameded ruling from CSE. Time will tell us.

Even after relaxation of rules ....if few firms continue with force selling ....there is volatility in the market. ....

steady growth can be seen .....only after force selling come to an end....it is up to the broker firms to bring some stability to the market...then all those investors would return to CSe...
