Can we do online trading using mobile phone.
Who are the brokers suppport mobile tardding

From what models of phones can access cse site and srilankaequity sites.
Also wahtmodels of phones can access cdax or directFN

Web based DirectFN can be used with Android devices with any of the browsers. (Stock browser, Firefox, Opera Mobile,)

Currently I use it for both Asia Securities & Capital Trust.

DirectFN support iphone and blackberry. Asia Securities and AshaPhillip provide mobile DirectFN.
Any smart phone should be fine with web interface. I use HTD Desire HD which is better than iphone or BB if you intended to use web interface. Unfortunately DirectFN for android is not there yet, even if it comes it will take some time for broker firm to support it.

Hi dileepa, i also want to go into mobile trading as i am always not available in one spot to monitor through PC. I dont understand all that u have said. can u put it in a simpler form and even suggest a phone model that i could get to make direct fn available on mobile. will the broker firm allow it to be installed on a mobile? Some advice would be really nice. I dont understand what HTD Desire HD is.thank u

For a trading software to be supported for mobile divices,
1. Software provider should have a mobile version
(in case of DirectFN : Mubasher is the software provider and they have a mobile version for iphone/bb)
2. Mobile version has to supported by broker firm
(earlier only Ashaphillip supported it, AsiaSec recently started)

DirectFN web interface is also there(and it is quit good).
If your broker firm provide web facility, you can simply use web browser for trading.
Any smart phone can be used to trade using web interface. (I use HTD Desire HD)

Thanks dileepa for the quick response. Oh my firm is Cap trust. So have to check with them. Just one more thing is to ask what HTD Desire HD is . I suppose if I get a blackberry then it will be ok , is it? Also cap trust must support it? Is that how i could summarise this in a way that its easier to figure out and everyone reading to understand it.pl reply

You mean it's cheap rite? but for trading it is not that good.
I think the best is galaxy, HTC, i phone and then blackberry.
I have used blackberry 9780, that was not a very pleasant experience like others

Rs. 95,000.00 (with 1yr warranty) , 75,000.00 (without warranty)
samsung releases 'galaxy 4g' or something in this september, so prices may come down (buy cheap Very Happy

)
note: If you ONLY want a phone to do trading, cannot recommend this much

I have Apple iPhone 3G. Asia Securities has a great mobile trading application for Apple iPhone provided by DirectFN. Great Stuff. Better than online trading. Even you can get graphs and analysis tools as well. Unbelievable. Screens are cristal clear.

Please see the attached pictures.

(Also you can view the order book, all the sector indices, Market summary and many many more with this application. Basically you can do all the trading with this....so why do you need a computer after all???????)
