Reasons :-
1. Trading well under NAVPS.
2. Haven't seen any rapid movement yet.
3. Trading well under IPO price.

this is just an idea...... Not a recommendation..... You decide...... Smile

Question is 2 strong stocks in the CSE for the next 5 years;
My automatic choice is JKH since this is the most trusted company in CSE. It has strong resistance to market conditions.
The second one would be SPEN as this has very big role to play in future as the leading company in hotel sector for the next 5 years.

ninja: I agree with you; from a 5-year perspective, JKH and SPEN are excellent choices. I would add COMB to this list.

@mono wrote:Has anyone thought about aviva NDB(CTCE.n) they have a massive bussiness but their bottom line is small. So we're have not seen good results for a while, but things look like they are improving. and given the size of thier bussiness and the lack of liquidity this can go to 2000 levels at some point in the next 5ish years

Mono,
Yes, Aviva showed improved results this time. They seems to be doing good. I think, if for long term , it would be good to check their next quarter results also to see confirm further direction.
If I recall , their forieng parent was trying to sell off from some businesses so I was looking out their intentions. Sri Lanka seems to be a one they want to keep but not sure.

If NDB Aviva keep going like this quarter it will be attractive. So thanks for highlighting it.

Thank you all for your replies. It seem like I forgot to mention my investment range. But I got a lot of good suggestions in the range of 100 - 400 rs. Company s like JKH, SPEN have performed well in the recent pass but they seem to be stagnated and I doubt an year-to-year appreciation of 20%. what do you think of this?

My target is to invest in a company in 50 -100 Rs range which can become the next JKH. Preferably around 50 million offered shares in the market with 20-30% public holding. I'm going through the posted company portfolios for the best two.

BTW CTEA, ALLI seems to have good dividends yield. But they are very illiquid for me to grab them on a monthly basis.

if u invest in flch for longterm, u can gain more than 300% profit when comparing curren price.

The current price is below ipo price even under private placement.
I hope, after 5 years time period it will be more than Rs.30
Aftr 10 yrs, it will be trading more than Rs.100
