It seems the downfall of prices is accelerating now.
Will it develop into a market crash?
Any ideas?

If so what should be our plan?

I would suggest a cash-in, will not recover soon as NSB - TFC deal is in locked horns, and the economy of the country - that is the safest way

Coming picture is not rosy at all. I have sold all my portfolio 3 days ago. if i waited today more loss. CSE confident gone on day to day happenings.

more crash is seem imminent as what I feel. better sell off and keep rest of the money in FD. at least u will have some return. two tsunami is approaching now.

1. market crash day by day.
2. Rupee devaluation.

You must be sold all at a loss then.

Yes hunter, I'm also fear about a market crash. Many counters have dropped suddenly without giving even a little time to think. I think losing confidence coz of that NSB deal caused this blood bath. Investors who got afraid try to exit from the market and they sell their shares at coming prices without minding. They get losses as well as they increase the unrealized losses of holding investors. Now cse seems to be a pot of craps in boiling water.

Some anticipated a similar external factor to crash the market.
But I guess it came two months late!

Since everyone are selling, is it the time to buy if you have holding power?

I strongly believe that colombo stock exchange will never crash. But it will go down further due to some cases. Mainly will effect the govt policies on the economy and mismanagement of the govt.
hopefully there will be some green days in next week.

A crash is unlikely; however, in my view, a gradual decline of 8-10% is possible. Things could get worse before they start getting better.

Definition of 'Stock Market Crash': A rapid and often unanticipated drop in stock prices. (Investopedia)
