Exhibiting a wide range of food products from its large portfolio, the Shaw Wallace stall received several thousand visitors from all walks during the three-day exhibition.
The exhibition also showcased the newest additions to the Shaw Wallace’s product range, namely Captain Soya Meat which is now available in the local market in 90g and 65g pack sizes and in a variety of popular flavours.
“This is our fifth year at this exhibition and the response from both the industry and the public has been encouraging. We look forward to being part of this exhibition in future years” said Chief Operating Officer of Shaw Wallace Ceylon Ltd Shilanth Boteju.
With over a century of experience in the field of marketing and distribution, Shaw Wallace Ceylon Ltd is in the process of transforming into a dynamic business entity since its take-over by Agri Business and Food specialist - Renuka Holdings PLC.
Its sister company Richlife Dairies Ltd manufactures a range of dairy-based products such as liquid milk in tetra, flavoured milk, yoghurts, curd etc. The Company also manufactures the “Cheers” juice range under the Richlife brand.
Shaw Wallace Ceylon Ltd currently enjoys significant market share through local brands such as the flagship Captain Canned Jack Mackerel, Plaza Mackerel, Sun Gold Instant drink mixes, Rainer’s coloring and essences and Renuka Coconut products which are available island wide in groceries and modern trade outlets.

With a dedicated sales team headed by a new management team, it is our objective to increase the visibility of our product range so that every Sri Lankan would have a Shaw Wallace Product in their household”, Boteju added.

Hence it was a strategic decision on our part to extend a range of products under the Captain Brand. The launch of Captain Soya is the very first extension we are undertaking and we look forward to adding new and innovative products for Sri Lankans to enjoy”
