Looks like this quarter and future quarters are not very profitable quarters and hence begging from the market after making thumping profits last year!

Seems a bit dodgy to me!

Obviously no plans to get into this stock but wondering whether people holding this stock should sell out and instead focus on DIMO or UML...

Cheers!

Thanks Rapaport. I have no idea regarding COLO. I'm too not sure if we can make quick bucks or it is an opportunity to invest for future. With the information you provide, i thought it's better to go through documents or rather be a spectator Smile

Oct 16, 2012 (LBO) - Colonial Motors a listed automobile distributor said it was making a cash call to raise 197 million rupees to invest in a new workshop and a unit that has the agency for Japan's Mazda vehicles.

Colonial Motors will issue 1.52 million shares at 130 rupees each. The stock fell 29 rupees to 189 rupees in intra-day trading Tuesday.

Existing shareholders will have the right to buy one new share for every six held.

The firm said it will invest 135 million rupees in Colonial Motors (Ceylon) Ltd, a fully owned unit which has the agency for Mazda in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

The balance 62.69 million rupees will be used to set up a workshop in Battaramulla, a suburb of Sri Lanka's capital Colombo.

Sri Lanka hiked vehicle taxes in April in bid to cut down imports after a rupee peg came under pressure from sterilized foreign exchange sales.

New registrations of motor cars have almost halved from last year. Some importers have said they will re-export cars already brought in to the country.

Can not say so Rapa....,when we consider their purpose of the right issue.
Yes their earnings will not be much sound....than last year.

Just had a look on their Investment portfolio. COLO is like a investment fund.
All the great shares are with them.

I tried to figure out the revalued figure but it is quite difficult.

I would say the best undervalued share at the movement. Net assets above 300........................

Note : I dont have this share at the movement..........
