Ppl have diverse ideas and its best when the expressions are made clear than calling names.

Just because someone doesn't agree with another, it doesn't mean that one's view is bad. However, I think if many carries a different view than a specific one being laid on the table, that view has a higher magnitude to be of acceptable nature. Then for us, at least try to see in their angle would also bring knowledge.

You can continue this without mudslinging.

LLRC has given reasonable Recommendation Both parties parties accepted

to certain extent (Govt and Intentional community)

LLRC WAS APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT

Opposition also prepared to support LLRC Recommendation

Why gov do not make genuine effort to implement those recommendations

LLRC is prejudiced and biased.So government need to implement recommendations which are in best interest of the country.....not to satisfy so called international community.Just look at following article.No one in LLRC has refused it.

When I myself was invited to make submissions before the LLRC, I made use of the opportunity to present a brief history of the problem. I knew that the commission would not believe my story as they had been brainwashed with a story created by the English for nearly two hundred years. I wanted them to grill me on my story but unfortunately they followed a different path and one of the commissioners told me that in spite of my logical story they thought that the Tamils wanted some concessions or words to that effect.

Nalin Silva is a one person How many people in this country and world follow his way of thinking

LLRC recommendation are piratical and acceptable to majority of people

This country need acceptable and practical solution to majority of people
I know Dr Nalin silva from my student days at peradeniya.He is very honest person.
We should not use his honesty to protect Dishonesty of rulers

Do you realy think majority of people in Sri Lanka agree to take back the army from North and East ? And what I pointed out in my previous post is not about Nalin De Silva,his honesty or his thinking...It is the mentality of person in LLRC.

The Sri Lankan government has asked the United States to abandon the prosecution of a Canadian charged with buying equipment and laundering money for the separatist LTTE.

The extraordinary request, in a letter sent to the U.S. State Department, concerns Suresh Sriskandarajah, 32, who was extradited to New York in December to stand trial on terrorism charges.

The letter, which surfaced at Mr. Suresh’s bail hearing last month, urged the U.S. to drop the charges against Mr. Suresh “in light of his publicly recognized efforts to secure a lasting, peaceful reconciliation for the Tamil people,” wrote Judge Raymond Dearie of the U.S. District Court.

“Given the history of Sri Lanka’s prolonged and bitter conflict, the request is indeed an extraordinary initiative that evidences Suresh’s legitimate and admirable work to secure a lasting and just resolution of the tragic conflict.”

But U.S. prosecutors are proceeding with the case nonetheless, and the judge ruled the letter was not relevant to the bail proceedings, ordering Mr. Suresh to be held in custody for the duration of the trial.

The judge also denied bail to a second Canadian, Piratheepan Nadarajah, 36, who faces terrorism charges for his alleged role in a plot to buy $1-million worth of AK-47 assault rifles and surface-to-air missiles for the Tamil Tigers.

Both men were arrested in Toronto following a joint RCMP-FBI investigation called Project O-Needle. They were extradited to the U.S. in late 2012 after the Supreme Court of Canada rejected their appeals.

The U.S. court documents do not explain why Sri Lanka intervened in Mr. Suresh’s trial, but several sources said the government had been attempting to use those arrested in the O-Needle investigation to turn Tamil-Canadians against the Tigers.

An island off the southern tip of India, Sri Lanka fought a 26-year civil war against the Tamil Tigers, who financed their fight for ethnic Tamil independence with millions raised by front organizations in Canada.

In 2006, three Canadians of Sri Lankan descent were arrested in New York after trying to buy rifles and missiles from an undercover police informant. They have all since pleaded guilty. Three more suspects were arrested in the Toronto area.

Among them was Mr. Suresh, also known as Waterloo Suresh, an engineer and former head of the University of Waterloo Tamil Students Association. U.S. prosecutors alleged he helped launder $13,000 in rebel funds through U.S. bank accounts.

He was also accused of working with a Canadian co-conspirator, Ramanan Mylvaganam, to buy night-vision goggles, electronic equipment and submarine design software for the rebels. Mylvaganam pleaded guilty last year, Canadian Post reports.

As far as know LLRC never recommended to take back Army from north . They recommended devolution But not 13th amendment Pl read the report carefully
I do not say to implement full report
At lest govt should show international community the are making genuine effort. as in case of ordinary voters govt cant play the pool with international communities

That's all I can tell at this moment.

Ask the govt. to erect an army post next to your house and station couple of army personnel in that. Will you be comfortable when the guys keeping an eye on your daily routine movements? After all those guys have feelings. And they live far away from their families.

I do not know why you can not understand my point.I am not against implimenting recommendations which are in favour of COUNTRY and which do not jeopardise the national security.
And I do not ask to fool anyone.Government should clearly mention its standard and should get ready to face the worse case scenario if happen.There is no point of playing around the bush.

This is what happens when racists (who start by asking for 50%-50% representation) hijack an entire community and that community in turn feeds and nurtures a bunch of terrorists.

To protect the innocent civilians in the other parts of the country the community that nurtured terrorism has to put up with some military intrusion. Just ask the palestinians how they like being shot in the head for looking at an israeli in a funny way.

The simplest solution would have been to colonize the North immediately after the war ended (the govt seems to have dropped the ball at a strategic level). If all communities live in a region no one can descriminate against that region. Mono ethnic ghettos make descrimination and racism easier.
