As prudent Sri Lankans our actions should speak louder.. I re-iterate, that for the time being we should reject these products and stick to SL stuff.. This is not the time to show patriotism but rather being safe than sorry... After all we have families to protect.. We should be concerned about our familys' well-being.
This case doesn't stop at milk powder but of course has spread to cheese, butter, yoghurt, chocolates and other food items that have high content of whey protein.
Some ppl trust some renowned bans they used decades to be of DCD free, I feel why the hell they take such risks? If something irreversible happens to your children a compensation from Fonterra is gonna change that situation????
In the midst of this, some companies are making hefty profits fresh milk now as the demand is 30-50% high according to the sources..The reason is that foreign substances or preservatives are not added to the fresh milk.

From infant products, I think Nespray 1+ is out of danger but yet are we 100% sure? I'm also having 50-50 sate in mind whether to continue or not but as a precaution started giving Highland to my kids until the situation is clear..
The biggest problem in this country is that officials dont advertise which are 100% safe, I mean name the brands.. There might be another side to the story that we dont wanna explore.. But what Chinwi just brought to the table is really worth be ascertained.
As pointed out, what if due to high N levels, DCD results give false readings??
In addition, if DCD can be turned to melamine, are we not again at a bigger health risk?
Say, in an awful situation, Fonterra is closed.. Will they not be back with another name or transfer their assets to a sister company to continue to be in business?? This is a multi-million dollar industry fellas...
In distant future, we'll have to eat grass and punnakku instead of drinking milk if the situation prevails.
