@KavinduTM I think shares are overvalued and stay away from the market. I got my money and gave loan to someone with 4% interest per month with a land mortgage. it will give more than 48% annualised return. I listen to teller and sold stock holdings it is good but I listen to teller and did not buy debentures issued by soft logic capital, That was my mistake. then considerable amount put in 15% fixed deposit. Rest of the money plan to buy virtual gold or invest in NDB wealth fund. (I think there will be huge inflation, protect your net asset). I have a loan to finance so I need fixed return 90% my investments are financed by a loan.

How can a market with a PER of 10.8 and PBV of 1.1 be an overvalued market. Well diversified companies with a EPS over 15% are trading at less than 60% of the net assest value. With a stable Gov in place, its only a matter of time till large foreign funds eye Sri Lanka.

Don't trust these jokers they are from UNP
At the moment market is very attractive
we can see within next 6 months where will this go
That time they will cry
In 2020 ASI will pass 7000

This market only goes up by dumping EPF fund to the market there is no other way different people have a different view. some people have a very optimistic opinion of the political situation.

yes, they will dump the EPF fund to the market and market go up as they have done previously. but who knows it depends on the central bank governor. Ajith Cabral may do, But good quality governer will not destroy the EPF fund.
we cant say the market is undervalued by PE ratio or netbook values then ASI 7000 also undervalued.
Recently I got EFP statement they only pay 9% interest. Think both governments how much they destroy the fund. One government destroy the fund by investing crap shares other goverment distroy fund by WHT tax.

A foreign index fund may come to Srilanka but I assume not within six months time  "Michael Burry" has predicted a stock bubble created by index funds. so who knows what will happen 2020. you can see it when you see USA all index going up continuously with very high PE ratio.

Please, guys, look at everything and, do not believe anyone everyone has there opinion about the market. do your homework and invest carefully.

Exactly. Someone can say Market is not good due to other reasons such as high debt ratio, unstable Govt, Loss making SOE's, Small size etc and we can keep quiet.. But if they tell market is overvalued- that we have to contest... Its not... by any standard. Even at 7000. But market will not run up freely and may not even go past 6500 in 2020. Still that does not mean market is overvalued...

This negativity in not only about the stock market but also about most other aspects in Sri Lanka is whats bringing us down. The pp bringing in this negativity dont have a factual reason either.. It's them saying, "because we have been like this all this time, we will continue to be the same in the future".. Realise the changes in the Fundamentals when your doing doing your technical analysis.. Solid Fundamentals override the technicals, and large investors use technicals to get cues to time their investments when the fundamentals are in place

I heavily believe many banks and finance institutions are undervalued after the covid 19 effect would be great for long term investing along with the poultry, farming and milk food productions sector with the governments concessions for 5 years to come....

Yes true LMF is one of the most under valued shares in CSE. I'm pretty sure it will show the real value with the reports.
