Good improvement. Still overvalued to jump the wagon for me. But future seems to be good . Shoudl keep an eye open.

Yes, but recently i read an article in LMD January 2011 that they spend hugely on Staff Training that also might had an impact. will share about the mag detail night.

Also i noted SLIC - Life Fund increase their holding considerably

Its doubtful that there'll be a hotel run. The hotel stocks are all heavily overvalued with valuations only looking good if you consider average earnings for atleast 3 years into the future. What is most likely to happen is just a simple up/down movement with people making low quick bucks on the stocks. Nothing more.

it won't come from KHL. but there are few other shares that might run I'm looking at GHLL & TAJ.

and i had 22 rep points yesterday now i have only 11. somewhere in the middle at least 11 kittens committed suicide

fundamentally the sector is absurdly overvalued. But some people might abuse these results to stir a run. It'll be a nice opportunity to get a quick buck. so it's best to position ourselves to take advantage of these things

do not forget about the factor they are on refurbishment at the time

KHL is the first hotel group went to refurb and prepare the coming tourism (bhoom may i say )

With the imminent entry of international competition into the tourism industry, significant sums of capital have already been - and continue to be - invested in upgrading existing properties to modern standards.

I am also aware of a new momentum in staff training and exposure; for example, the hotels division of John Keells has in the last 6 months alone spent something like 50 Million rupees on training at home and abroad. About 130 personnel in different disciplines in the hotel sector have been trained overseas during this time.

Everyone has their own strategies. So I respect yours. The only question I have is why put money on a non performing sector share for a long time without any gains when you could invest in a more positive sector during these times. You can always enter hotel shares for low prices just before you sense a recovery for the sector. If you have money to hold for long term then who are we to judge. There will come a day when hotel shares go up again. For the country’s economy sake I hope it will be soon.
