2020 1st Quarter result out. Group Net profit increased. I think investors will move to this share. Because After corvid situation this share is still not recovered. Short term purpose good share. Any idea?

Kasturi coming in as CEO- She will provide an aggressive leadership, to a place like hhl which has been a slow growing entity in past. transportation sector achieved 25% YOY revenue growth under her leadership.

Travel agency and airline ticketing is sold off. No losses there.
Schools started back. ATlas will perform in the last quarter as its their best season.

Pharma manufacturing will be boosted with new homagama Plant starting production early next year and govt policies being favourable.

Only problematic area is hotels- one operates as paid quarantine center. Locals are also filling some gap.
shipping and transportation back to normal.

Never really recovered from Pre covid situation. Still around 60.
GOOD opportunity for an investor for medium term returns 30%-50%

Yes, agree with your view, plantation more chances for TPL, KVAL, Kota and wata due to not yet run as others. but I am not happy about BALA

Foreign buying started again, current prices are comparatively low as well, might be the reason for foreign interest. This was UP to 75 level in Sep might same level will be the target afterwards the reports

In my POV, this is a hidden gem.

ECONOMYNEXT – Morison Plc, a unit of Colombo-based Hemas Holdings Plc, has opened an 18.5 million dollar pharmaceuticals plant which can make 5 billion pills a year, which the firm says can supply 20 percent of consumption in the country, officials said.
Morison Plc, which was bought by Sri Lanka’s Hemas Holdings in 2013, claims to be the largest oral solid pharmaceutical manufacturer in Sri Lanka.
The 18.5 million dollar plant was built collaborating with the Sri Lanka Institute of Nano Technology, a science park operated as a public private partnership.

This pharma plant will make a huge positive impact in the upcoming quarters.

HHL is good for long term gains. It will hit good numbers in the long term, but for short term or mid term it will not work.

HHL may have sold SHOT today.

LOLC Group acquires Hemas Group’s Serendib Hotels

LOLC Group today acquired the hospitality arm of Hemas Holdings PLC in a deal worth over Rs.600 million.

Brokers said Hemas Holdings this morning divested its entire stake of 42.8 million shares of Serendib Hotels PLC, which constitutes to 56.6 percent of the issued shares of the company to LOLC Group.

The shares were purchased at Rs.14.20 each. The net asset value of Serendib Hotels PLC as at September 30, 2020 was Rs.18.78.

The acquisition will trigger a mandatory offer.

Serendib Hotels PLC owns and operates Avani Bentota Resort at Bentota, formerly known as Serendib Hotel.

Meanwhile, Serendib Hotels PLC is the major shareholder of Hotel Sigiriya PLC, which owns Hotel Sigiriya in Sigiriya and of Dolphin Hotels PLC, which owns Club Hotel Dolphin in Waikkal.

The company fully owns and operates Frontier Capital Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., which owns the Lantern Beach Collection in Mirissa.

Serendib Leisure Management Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of the company, manages all the above properties.

It also has a 5.9 percent stake in Jada Resort & Spa (Pvt) Ltd, which owns Avani and Anantara Kalutara Resorts in Kalutara.
