Do you have any liquid cash to bring down some of your average costs?

one thing i want to know what the fundamental and strategy use to buy these shares...are you following crowd/numerical/charts/your broker or any other factor?
looking at your table i feel you are joking....if not please do careful studies before entering to a stock when they are at the peak...any way i can give you some hint if you have at least some cash left in your pocket...
Did you use your marginal facilities as well to buy those?

Sell all your shares as it is on a positive day, book this loss, dont put more money into these hoping a rebound. Rationally there is no logic in averaging for the sake of reducing average cost, but as a strategy it would make sense, but you have to master how to do it.

With the money you will get enter the market slowly.
I would repeat so call averaging is only fooling our self.

( For example I had LOLC a big qty many thousands bought at different levels, when I realized that its in a down trend I sold with 200,000/- loss, and now with the money I realized I have collected more LOLC qty than I had before)

So amazing. i can't believe this. If it is true.. How did u pick all at the top?
Anyway what ever before u enter in t counter u should have a reason.
"At the end of day BUCKS" not bad but at least it least it should be marginally rational. Otherwise it is gambling, u try the winning by chance. Then U deserve the loss.
Through my experience I accept "Tiger" But can't recommend that practice in this current market. ( I had greater loss with GREG.W2 and 6. That time I was so immature and broker did all transactions as he wish. I got little maturity and started controlling my PF. I sold out every thing and got BFL@200 and PCH@ Avg11. I made even handsome profit. But market must be favorable)

that portfolio looks very depressing to look at. i'm sorry for your losses. anyway. when you bought these shares, did you know what exactly you were doing? who asked you to buy shares at these levels? your broker? how long have you been trading in the market?

here after, when you make purchases, do so with a purpose. why do you buy a share? that should be because there is potential for a company to do well in the future. and some companies even if they have performed well during the past, their share prices may be undervalued until investors pay enough attention to them. dont just jump in to rallies. it seems like you have followed rallies in CFIN, LCEY, UBC, SFIN, and SMLL. see what it has cost you now.

if i were you, i would sell off UBC,SFIN and GRAN. they are trading at ridiculous PE ratios. i'm not sure about SMLL and GREG.W2 . but i would keep LOLC, LCEY and CFIN. they have good balance sheets + income statements. i am of the view that LOLC will grow to be one of the biggest conglomerates in SL with their recent acquisitions and all. they are now a diversified company. LCEY and CFIN might do well in the future as well. i'm not able to comment much on them though. its better to consult an expert and decide what you can do about your portfolio. i do not own shares of any of the above mentioned companies.

i can give you a easy equation from the current market to recover your loss.
You have dump nearly 500,000 for these shares if you sell it you will loose nearly 161,426. After selling all shares if you buy TWOD@25 you can buy 13500 shares @ 25.
Hold it for 06 month and write me!

try to sell high valued shares like 100 CFIN and buy low value fundamentally strong shares below 100 say between 80 - 45 . if you can get Rs 5 increase in price , you can minimise the loss

m2_yapa,

i know that you want to help out an individual. but i hope your motives are good. your post would make others think that you're trying to promote TWOD. also, as beginners, someone should not put all their eggs in to one stock. that is something up for the professional. i remember somebody was saying that he or she is going to make his/her portfolio 100% LOLC when this was trading at 140. now look at the price. imagine how much loss that person might have incurred? also i knew a person who was 100% BFL bought below 200. he was able to sell them with more than a 100% profit. so there are chances for you to succeed as well. knowing that, i would not play with odds. i would love to belive that TWOD would do wonders in 6 months time. so please go ahead and share why you would think so. i'm sure everybody will appreciate that. thank you

Changing shares is also costly, only stock brokers are benefited. All are experiencing losses these days, I just keep all without doing anything. If the fundamentals are good losses are minimum and one day all those shares can recover and move.

Keep LCEY, LOLC, CFIN and dispose other rubbish stocks you have. Who advised you to buy those? Just be honest... is it the broker? .....Or you just decided and bought?

You may be able to recover about Rs. 135,000/= by disposing those rubbish stocks. Your loss will be about Rs. 120,000/=

Plan 1
From Rs. 135,000/= try to collect about 10,000 RICH around Rs. 12 to Rs. 12.50. This is a good stock. The company has a future and well diversified company. very high ROE(return on equity compared to all other diversified companies)

Plan 2
From Rs. 135,000/= try to collect about 4,500 LGL non voting around Rs. 30 - Rs. 31. This is also a good stock and the company has a future. (Energy companies are good investments as people need energy with development. So the company will grow.) Hold it for 1 year. You will recover your losses.

Plan 3
From Rs. 135,000/= try to collect about 6,000 CFVF (Fist Capital Holdings) around Rs. 21 to Rs. 21.50. The company is doing very well. Sometimes they might pay a good dividend as they have posted good results as at 31.03.2011. Even if they do not pay a dividend you could expect a decent capital growth with this investment.

disclosure : I do not hold CFVF, LCEY, LOLC, CFIN.
I hold RICH, LGL.X
