What is the most defensive growth stock under current country situation. It is EXPO for me. Let's see what are the main challenges we are facing and we would face in sort run. And How they  affect EXPO (positively or Negatively )

1. Dollar shortage- Since EXPO is a Dollar earner- EXPO is very secure investment for this situation. If the Rupee depreciated further Expo earnings will be much higher in rupee terms. ( All dollar earning counters / Import substitution counters and dollar assert counters have positive effect)

2. Any economic political instability - Since Expo earnings 97 % comes from outside Sri lanka, Expo do not have major issue .

3. Power cut - EXPO do not have major issue or nor impact.

4. Any possible drought in this year. EXPO do not have any impact.

5. P reveling high inflation situation in SL . Since EXPO is global growth company holding EXPO share will be like holding dollar with you or worth more than holding GOLD, since gold value increases but EXPO value and growth increases with time.

6. prevailing low interest rate in country and lack of other income streams. Since EXPO is a growth stock your investment will grow with time.

So what you can do now. If you already an investor of EXPO do not sell cheap .
If you are not a EXPO holder yet this is the most suitable situation to  enter EXPO. Definitely EXPO will give you the win. STUDY EXPO : BELIEVE EXPO . And HOLD EXPO. End of March you can come back and check where will be EXPO.
Disclose - Holding and collecting with weakness

No buy sell recommendation decide yourself and act accordingly.

VPEL
LLUB
Both solid dividend payers, over 10% current yield

COMB
HNB
SAMP
Solid performance, around 8% divided yield, not pumped hence low risk of sell off, trading at a huge discount.

HAYL
Feel this is the one with the most potential, recent pull back to 100 makes a great entry, PER below 6, dollar earner

JKH
Potential huge, risky but a safe risk with potential high gain over medium term, earnings to grow with leisure and waterfront coming into play and in two years the eastern terminal.

Antonym, glad, stockie and apple like this post
