According to Dr Harsha the President has requested for assistance from Japan
and in an 'Newsline' interview with Faraz Shauketaly of 4th May 2022 (yesterday) Dr Rohantha Athukorala confirmed the position stating that the outcome could be positive. The consideration was referred to as USD3bn in this interview.

People are agitating not because of the cost of living, their main concern is Wimal weerawansa, Haheem & Dadurdeen has no minstrel post.
Once government forming national government with all these above said intellectual in minstrel post with luxury car and perks, country will turn normal , no need of dollar reserves or Japanese assistance

It was stated by Dr Rohantha in the 'Newsline' interview where he clearly affirmed that the response was 'somewhat positive'. I agree that this will be a silver line in the dark cloud and serve as a much needed lifeline to the country.

However, it must be said that the complete mismanagement of the economy had led to the present situ and the burning issues of the people should be addressed in order to sustain some form of stability to move forward.
