Two government ministers will be flying to Russia today (27) on a diplomatic visit, during which they will discuss the matters pertaining to the possibility of buying fuel as well, said Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara.
The minister said this during a media briefing in Colombo yesterday.
He added that the Sri Lankan government has not given up the discussions with the Russian Government on the matter as claimed by various parties.
Meanwhile, a delegation including Minister Wijesekara will also be flying to the State of Qatar today on the invitation of the Emir of Qatar and matters pertaining to the fuel supply and employment opportunities will be taken into the discussion during the visit.
