Today my broker (CT) informed me about NDB final dividend , according to him the dividend will be Rs 10-12 , and will be announced before start of April, Anybody know more about this ?

Why price of NDB coming down?

I don't think they would pay such a big amount. They would keep those AVIVA sales profit for future developments. I heard they were going to open few foriegn branches.

Well they used to declare the final dividend in the month of March and last two years they declared the interim as well as final dividends, so based on the past history there is a possibility of final dividend this time as well

CDIC interim dividend also due to the on the March 12th, however 10 to 12/= as final dividend seems less possible.

If the history is any guide, they should give Rs 6.00 - Rs.8.00 dividend this time.

After the sale, NDB group tier 1 capital ratio stands at 18.8% only below DFCC group's 19.1%. This means that they don't have any capital pressure, unless they go for aggressive expansion, they may declare a god dividend.
Their adj ROA is 1.9% well below the peer group , this has drag their adj ROE too. There are two options, either to use capital effectively by loaning out or payout to shareholders. We are not in expansionary cycle, aggressive expansion may have its own price, so , possibility for a large dividend of Rs. 8/- is there.
