one party can not buy more than 10% of shares of bank,if they want to do it first they have to get special permission from central bank such as TPG CAPITAL-UBC & john kells for nation trust

Funny indeed how 2 parties likes to "speculate" ( to put it mildly) with different price objectives.
One needs to use their brain to find the logical answer here.

Now three parties.
1) Right Issue
2) No Rights Private placement(PLC)
3) No Rights No Private Placement

Ane manda kauru aththa kiyanawada manda.

what about these two together.

First Right Issue and collect big money
using that money buying a another Fin Company(Private placement of another company)

for the Right Issue they need reason(i don't think SDB has any financial problem)

@shan - This is not the correct way to promote SDB shares. You might have collected a large volume. Anyway, the net assets per share value is almost 135 at the moment. If a merger with another bank is taking place, this will be converted not below than NAV per share. Therefore, there's a potential to go up.

mate.. a split will only increase the number of shares, not the stated capital of the company. To increase capital they have to either go for a rights issue or do a private placement. Out of these two their initial plan was to go for a rights issue.

As per the consolidation plan a specialzed bank needs to have capital of Rs. 5bn by 2016. You can refer the CB website to verify this.

As at 30th June the equity of SDB is 3.4b. So they have to raise at least 1.6 bn before 2016. My guess is that out of the 2 options rights issue is the most likely.

And I'm not saying that the price won't go up before an announcement is made.
