It is time to identify good businesses and attractive stocks in strong hands and own them before appreciate their value further.

As I said before election fever will be over by midnight today. We should see a permanent government soon. Most probably it could be more than one party government. Both main parties have joined with small parties.

Both main parties have some similar policies. However there are some differences between them. By studying their economic policies we can pick some great winners in the market. What are they going to do? Which sectors will have more government spending and investment? I have studied policies of both governments now.

Both main parties like to develop areas such as export sector, plantation sector and industry development sector etc.  Even JVP has new approach now. Almost all parties want to keep good rapport with private sector.

We are seeing robust quarterly earnings from listed companies in the CSE. Market and stocks have more value now.

Stocks under my Radar

TAFL
BFL
REXP
UDPL
MPRH
GRAN
TPL
ACL
SHL
AEL
Selected blue chip stocks in the market (Banking and Diversified)

I have stocks with strong outlook and out of favour stocks in my basket. It is time to do more home work to identify great opportunities in the market. We should see some of the fastest phases in stocks in the remaining stages of current bull market. Stocks will have demand according to the stages and there will be great demand for defensive stocks such as food related stocks during remaining stages of bull market especially during latter part of current bull market and beyond. Future earning will drive stock prices in the long run.

Please do home work before buying and selling stocks and identify bigger picture of the industry and companies that you are going to follow. It is time to identify good businesses in the market before they become more expensive.

Do you have any specific companies that you like due to their strong outlook? Please share your ideas.

APLA  (ACL Plastic ltd) &
BRWN are waiting for a good Q. report.
According to the March report,
They are under valued & out of favour stocks!
APLA's NAVS   : 190.61, but it is in 150s now.
BRWN's NAVS : 219.89, but it is in 130s now.
APLA's EPS is quite good. (8.42 - Mar Q)
BRWN's also good. (3.39 - Mar Q)
We are amazing that, only 4 lakhs shares of APLA are flowing in the market and very easy to rise up!
Both will meet their NAV levels very soon!
APLA has more potential!

Thanks Dear Yahapaalanaya,
BRWN's current EPS decreased by Rs. 2.83, so... I think it's not good.
We can expect a good report from APLA

Add some HDFC too. HDFC has an amazing loan book. It exceeds 25 billion. The most important thing is the risk is very few in these loans as mortagage bacup is there. Eg. Gold loan percentage is 0.001%

Housing Loans Secured by Primary Mortgage Over Residential Properties 7,615.6 million

Housing Loans Against EPF. 8,690.9 million

Housing Loans on Guarantors & Others 6,509.8 million

Gold Loans Rs. 189,000/-

Business Loans Rs. 390,457/-

Lease Rentals receivables Rs.211,254 /-

Hire Purchase Rs. 98,582 /-

Project Loans rs. 26,032-

Other Loans 1.4 million

Sub Total 25,166 million

In this scenario with further developments, HDFC annualized EPS possible to pass 15/- very soon.
My very short term HDFC Target is Rs.110/-

You have some good diversified portfolio.

We should see more winners in the market in the remaining stages of current bull market. Election fever is over and next step is forming a government. Investors will have more confidence due to smooth transfer of power in Sri-Lanka.

Thank you for naming some stocks. JKH and stocks mentioned above namely ESL, COCR, CSEC and CFVF etc lifted this bull market first in 2014/15. They were some of the top bullish stocks in the first half of this bull market. Later they had some volatility. We are seeing some support for them again. On Friday both JKH and COCR had good support.

Next stages of bull market are very strong. We will see demand for many stocks.  It is time to stay with businesses that we know very well while identifying winners in the market. Unlike some other markets and Chinese market, Sri-Lankan market is not hot. If we study market we can find many value stocks. This bull market has long way to go.

There are two types of stocks to watch in this market are:

Strong stocks
Out of favour stocks

Some neglected stocks and stocks in dull industries are also in strong hands. We should own good businesses at good prices and then should forget volatility. Mr Market will create very bullish chart for them later. After weeks of struggling, market and stocks are in consolidating mood now. Stocks are building their bases. We cannot time the market but we can find out movers in the market. We should stay with next movers in the remaining stages of current bull market. If we can identify some great movers in the market we should not worry much. In some days, these great movers will stay calm before they become active again.

Have a reasonable target for stocks according to the industry, industry outlook, value, cash flow and growth etc. When market becomes very hot even P/E ratio can go above 27.CSE had higher P/E ratio in the past. Even in bull market some stocks can trade below the P/E ratio of 20.

Never sell winning stocks in bull market. We could miss some of the big move. That is the time where we can recover losses that we made in the past. Companies are producing good results. In September quarter, we should see some super results from supper stocks. We should see further upside in stocks in the coming weeks and months. Some sectors should get budget boost as well. Exports will do well in the coming months.

Types of stocks to identify in the market:

Strong stocks and strong groups
Strong stocks in weak groups
Out of favour stocks which has great potential

Stocks will adjust according to the stage of market and according to their earnings in this bull market. Defensive stocks such as food and health care stocks will have more demand during final stage of current bull market.

Knowing our investor profile will help us work out the kinds of investments we should consider.

There are four sides to our investor profile:
·
·Duration: How long do we want to invest for?
·Returns: Do we want income or growth?
·Liquidity: Do we need to be able to get our money easily?
·Risk: Understanding the risk and returns involved in different types of investment. Different      stocks have different risks and returns.

Aiyo every one every time saying the same thing... Always ask to identify the good stock .... No one genuinely show which stock good to enter and exit at a given time .... Just tell us what are the out of favour , over value , crowded, under value stocks in this Month .. From there individual members can decide what to buy and sell

When consumption related stocks such as gran, bfl preform nicely, it is undervalued stocks in the healtcare sector such as MORI, CHL.X, also getting heat.
Slowly buyers build up to collect.

We should not ignore single stock in the market. In some period some stock can become inactive. We have to wait patiently until they become active. GL.
