Each and every day you can see someone in Govt. mentioning about MR. We are talking about the present situation and future , not about MR or bringing back him. This is not a political fight with you .

Market is down everywhere in the world.Srilanka is not exception for that.

There are good things for us also.World oil price reduced.It's good for Manufactoring companies,tile industry,transportation industry....Current currency level is good for exporting companies such as REXP,ALPL,COCO..etc...World copper price reduction is good for ACL,KCAL,SIRA....World aluminium price reduction good for PARQ,ALUF..

Corporate tax reduction to companies...Electronic import tax reduction...Foreigner can buy land.....etc good for market created by govt

So there are ample reasons for market improvement....

For everything SFL. Next time he will say gov found a investor to invest $1bn in SFL, Since Soros still didnt boom boom on SFL. lol

I am based in Singapore and doing online trading in SL. The mood here is very somber as market crashing daily. Many ordinary Singaporeans have invested for long term and most of them in bad state as many savings eroded. SGD also going down. Malaysia also same. Today i read below article which is very scary. There is no point blaming others as this situation no one was able to predict before. Even IMF-WB now getting blamed for projecting growth this year. One friend of mine from China said situation there very grim as similar to 2008. The economy is saddled with many over capacities and today shares entered bear market as Gvt cannot control artificial propping up every day. In SL all research houses bet wrong as we were told to BUY BUY and no Co. gave any warning bef. hand.

My PF also getting eroded daily. SL cannot absorb NFO as these will be intensified in next few days. I think the strategy should be to keep the High Div Yield stocks and dispose others for a loss as else we may have to keep for longer time. Jim Rogers expects min 1.5 year period to get things back to normal. Only ray of hope is US will now stop rates hikes and if this announced then market can rally by March.

Lets discuss strategies how to pass/survive this scary phase than blaming others.

No monetary policy supports immediate short term obligations in paying foreign loans plus its debt service cost. Situation has worsened amidst the continuous plunge of export revenue.

Unsure of the news of money printing in paying huge liabilities to local suppliers & contractors that may bring unfavorable effects at later stage.
