That is the big question??
apart from that, all the stocks are not worth that price level if the company performance is poor

every subdivision companies stocks went up by 2 or 5 or 10 or 100 times then they dived by 2 or 5 or 10 or 100 then the price again same but liquidity is huge???

Split is fine with good performing companies such as LFIN, VFIN, RCL, SAMP, LWL, LTL, VONE ETC

That is why i mentioned companies such as Vfin has less number of shares, therefore liquidity improvement will work for them.

Keep in mind, still results are not out.... Waiting for a great quarter... Basketball Basketball Basketball

This split will kill the market positive sentiment .

What's the point if share volume doesn't impact the value of the counter and remain same after split. Only the quantity goes high and the value will be split (Rs.100 before split / 1:10 / after split Rs.10)

If this is the case why should we buy it at higher value (after split announcement).

We only make certain group Richer and richer.

@Inthikahb M Wazeer,

agreed, people misunderstanding purpose of share split. share split never  generate any income. share split mainly impact to NAV and EPS. after split, decreased both NAV and EPS. after split, people will compare NAV and CMP of relevant stock, they will definitely understand. these days, people haven't any sense, they engage to rally without any understanding. some people promote to buy share split shares continuously until announce split date.

share split mainly done for attract small investor and increase liquidity. share split announcement of first day, people bought stock and second day exit. be care full. some of split stock 2,3 times price increased.

This is not an alien situation. People active in the market while back in 2008-2012 had the same experience. Some shares worthy after the split, some don't. Traders have good opportunities here. investors must analyze deeply before taking the decision. I am attaching here the HDFC split taken place on 2012. You can see even after the 1: 10 split the share was trading way higher than it was traded prior to the split announcement. Because HDFC was considered to be undervalued at that time. In the current market, all the banking shares are undervalued. I personally believe it is good that SAMP has been announcing the split. some shares like HAYL, HAYC worth with split. I would like to see true splits of LOLC , VONE , MELS. Good luck every one! SPIT SHARES AND HIGH MARKET LIQUIDITY Hdfc10

My personal view I may be wrong
When CIC did the split it was attractive and flow was ok as ACL, LALU, EBCR came .

But DP made a blunder and putting all his company at one go made it a casino style investment.

My thinking is this should have come slow space.

Because hayles, Dipped, Sampth and other counters are very lucrative counters and could have been more attractive to investors and benefited more if those would have come one after other.

my personal view, stock split purpose unperformed play in CSE. Stock split do purpose of attractiveness and liquidity. in Sri lankan context, when announce share split more than 2 times price increased. according to this trend, company will have split share in each month. because of, stock split purpose never success. this is game. never compare with NAV and Current market price relavant stock. they nonstop buy share until went to the moon SPIT SHARES AND HIGH MARKET LIQUIDITY Icon_razz . here, few of them will become richer, most of people will loose. better to avoid this panic rally.

no arguement with fundemetally strong share, fundementally strong share should go. but with limited area. here no limited,

DP wanted his shareholders to stay with his companies, that's why all came as a sudden blast. This will be a successful strategy since DP treat his shareholders in lucrative manner. Also LOLC bubble could burst starting from Feb 01st. So DP's companies and specially VONE would regain the most leadership in Feb.

HAYL Group shares in export sector should go up massively from current price levels. LOLC will drop gradually with dumping shares by the team who forced the share for a rally. Now, it is peak and is coming downward price movement.
