How Libya was before a decade.

1. Electricity is free for all Libyans.

2. Loans in Libya are free with 0% interest as banks are state owned.


3. Homes are considered a human right in Libya – Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. Gaddafi’s father has died while him, his wife and his mother were still living in a tent.

4. All newly married people in Libya receive US$ 50,000 by the government to buy their first home to help the new family.

5. Medical treatment and education are free in Libya. Before Colonel Muammar Gaddafi ruled the country, only 25% of Libyans were literate. Today the figure is around 83%.

6. If Libyans wanted to take up farming as a career, the government funded people from equipment to seeds, all for free.


7. The government subsidised 50% of the price of a new car if a Libyan citizen wanted to buy their first car.

8. Petrol price in Libya is around $0.14 per litre.

9. Libya has no debt externally and its reserves amounts to $150 billion – now globally frozen.

10. The Libyan government would fund anyone who got a degree and if they could not get employment, and they would receive income as if they were employed until they got a job.

11. The sale of Libyan oil is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens in proportion.

12. A family would get US $5,000 if they had a new baby to support the childs upbringing.

13. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs around $0.15.

14. 25% of Libyans have a university degree.

@All :- We Srilankans have to be loyal to our leader if any matter comes. Mostly there will be a lot of problems upcoming such as sanctions . Stay strong. Unity is the most important thing. Also this government has a plan. Tax cut will encourage locals.We can expect an economical renaissance under GR. Lets see what they will do after GE.We were blindly loyal to our leader for last 70 years like you.That's why Srilanka is still begging to world.We don't want to be fool and loyal to useless leaders anymore.We have not found a Mahathir mohammad or Lee Quan Yuu yet.

Yes sure. I am not watching with colour glasses. See they promised not to sign MCC. And we just saved from a major disaster.

There are only 2 parties who can rule the country. It is SP, RW group or MR and GR group. UNP isn't suitable as you saw that clearly in last 5 years. Also if needed further facts we can observe what happened 1988-2000.
They destroyed the best library of south asia which was located in Jaffna. A lot of people died that times. You seniors know them better. So many black marks for UNP. Even we saw their latest behavior in last 5 years. It was just disgusting. No love for the country.

So the option is GR government and people selected it wisely. Also not just because of UNP failed, People are having a new hope with GR.Seems he is different. And this is the last chance for them to correct their mistakes and lead this country to victory.Lets see  whether GR will be able to fulfill people's hope or not. And i ll be no longer support this government if they brake our hopes and go crazy. Till now it is satisfying but we need more. We means country. I am not asking for personal benefits. I m talking about good things which needed to happen to country.

Hope GR will be able to do that. He has some satisfying qualities which makes me to believe he can do this. Will see.

I'm telling this as a free person and i am not bound up to any party or a person. I need good to happen to this country.
