@yahapalanaya First LEARN how to have a conversation without been offensive and try to stick to the topic next time. I normally don’t have conversations with idiots who can’t stick to the topic. Because I know when people don’t have facts to back them up, they try to go off topic which is a great time loss for me.

iraq is better now check HDI. recently I met an Iraq person. he said it is better now. only problem iran and USA conflict.
some Sri Lankans are very much like to be under a dictatorship. In the short term, people see it is successful but in the long run it creates a mass disaster for the country. History proves it. the best example is Germany.

@kasun_gimhana As far as I know Sri Lanka still is a very vibrant democracy and I believe it will be the same in the future. If SL was to be a dictatorship it would have happened been between 2010-15. If we survived that, now it shouldn’t be a problem.

Yes give 2/3 MPs to him.He will teach you guys lessons.

Saddam Hussen also got 99% votes.Finaly what happen by people. You people understand later only. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Yes i saw.
I am not talking about 2/3. But it is needed. Use it for good is something depends on GR.
2/3 is only needed for critical decisions and our country needs critical decisions.Otherwise no use of maintaining this system .Most of things need to be changed. So they can't beg in parliament. So 2/3 is needed but i know we are not having a cool past. Hope for good.

And i believe good will happen.

Stupid USA killed him for no reason. There wasn't any nuclear shit.
Same happened for Gaddafi. USA was tactical to make Libyans against their own leader. Also now they are suffering the maximum type of karma. USA and their western gang is trimming good leaders.Bold leaders such as saddam, gaddafi was murdered. Now qassem. Who is there to talk against them? Guess what if there wasn't strong countries like japan, russia and china is Asia. Rip asia then. Same for middle east. USA is a main reason for the most of wars ongoing in the world. Japanese still having issues of nuclear explosions which done by USA in world war times. I Hate USA.

Gaddafi speech:'America hanged Saddam and we might be next! (with English)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZZvPlGCt_8

Crying or Very sad

How Libya was before a decade.

1. Electricity is free for all Libyans.

2. Loans in Libya are free with 0% interest as banks are state owned.

3. Homes are considered a human right in Libya – Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. Gaddafi’s father has died while him, his wife and his mother were still living in a tent.

4. All newly married people in Libya receive US$ 50,000 by the government to buy their first home to help the new family.

5. Medical treatment and education are free in Libya. Before Colonel Muammar Gaddafi ruled the country, only 25% of Libyans were literate. Today the figure is around 83%.

6. If Libyans wanted to take up farming as a career, the government funded people from equipment to seeds, all for free.

7. The government subsidised 50% of the price of a new car if a Libyan citizen wanted to buy their first car.

8. Petrol price in Libya is around $0.14 per litre.

9. Libya has no debt externally and its reserves amounts to $150 billion – now globally frozen.

10. The Libyan government would fund anyone who got a degree and if they could not get employment, and they would receive income as if they were employed until they got a job.

11. The sale of Libyan oil is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens in proportion.

12. A family would get US $5,000 if they had a new baby to support the childs upbringing.

13. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs around $0.15.

14. 25% of Libyans have a university degree.

How is it now? Past Libya and current?

America cut their heads off. Bold leaders were murdered by USA, who spoke the truth.

I think you are reflecting your Dad's ideology as well as your kidology, most you said about Libya were dreams, like that was in previous soviet Russia.
Leasing out Galle harbor for 99 years to China is our politician's great patriotic act

It's not any talent from Gaddafi... Libya was gifted by oil they have enough money to spend it. Gaddafi wasted lots of money with corruption but still they have plenty of money.

No these are not my dad's ideas. Totally my ideas and the things i above mentioned were real when Qaddafi ruling. If you are not sure, do some analyses. But now it is a hell. NATO and american terrorist groups killed him . Also successfully fooled Arabs via media and a lot of ways. Now Libyans are crying who celebrated Qaddafi's death few years ago.

His last words were "this is a sin"..Westerns successfully hunted down another lion in africa and grabbed resources. Feel so sad and Shame about western countries.

Also few months ago, they murdered Qassem.

Feel shame about USA and their alliances. And sad to see how strong people die. Where is the justice?

What is your idea about that @Miss-Sangeetha?

Gaddafi was a very talented person. Yes Libya was gifted with oil, but is it a reason to murder him?

I don't know 100% about him and corruptions. But he was a good leader. If he was that much corrupted and was a bad leader, Libya could shine after his death. But what happened? Libya fell to the worst.

Gaddafi, Saddam were strong leaders who wasn't scared of USA like all other countries. That was the problem USA had. Even when USA was the one and only country which used nuclear bombs. That was a massive destruction. After all of them they complained iraq without any evidence and killed saddam. At least did they find a single nuclear weapon there? No. Either they didn't want to find. They just wanted to hunt down those lions and rule the jungle like the blue fox did.

What was the reason they killed Qassem? Because they "suspected" him a terrorist. Justice is dead.

At least i m happy to have Putin alive. One of strongest leaders. Strongest arm of the Asia. USA would have killed him with a stupid reason like they hunted middle east lions. But russia is something they can't handle.

USA will be punished eventually.

America cut their heads off. Bold leaders were murdered by USA, who spoke the truth.
[size=16]In the late 1970s and early ’80s, he eliminated even mild critics through public trials and executions. Kangaroo courts were staged on soccer fields or basketball courts, where the accused were interrogated, often urinating in fear as they begged for their lives. The events were televised to make sure that no Libyan missed the point.
The bodies of one group of students hanged in downtown Tripoli’s main square were left there to rot for a week, opposition figures said, and traffic was rerouted to force cars to pass by.

[size=16]In the 1990s, faced with growing Islamist opposition, Colonel Qaddafi bombed towns in eastern Libya, and his henchmen were widely believed to have opened fire on prisoners in Tripoli’s Abu Salim prison, killing about 1,200.

“Qaddafi’s ability to have survived so long rests on his convenient position in not being committed to a single ideology and his use of violence in such a theatrical way,” said Hisham Matar, the author of “In the Country of Men,” a novel depicting the devastation of life under Colonel Qaddafi. “He deliberately tried to create a campaign that would terrorize the population, that would traumatize them to such an extent that they would never think of expressing their thoughts politically or socially.”

@Yahapalanya Bro simply USA wanted their resources and they weren't happy about Qaddafi's behavior (Talking truth openly) against UN and USA. Also Libya oil prices were amazing. They had a cool gold backed economy with lot of natural resources. Libya was one of the best country a decade ago. GDP per capita was 30,000$. Sadly now it is only 6000$. Hillary Clinton , NOTA, USA are responsible for what happened to libya. Even Libyans were fooled by media and other organizes and turned against their leader. That was the worst mistake Libyans made.

@All :- We Srilankans have to be loyal to our leader if any matter comes. Mostly there will be a lot of problems upcoming such as sanctions . Stay strong. Unity is the most important thing. Also this government has a plan. Tax cut will encourage locals. We can expect an economical renaissance under GR. Lets see what they will do after GE.

Good luck for our country.

Very ugly day in the markets. Oil down over 20%. US stocks down over 5%. 30 year bonds below 1%. It’s looking very ugly guys! Stay strong. Clear margins if any.

Yeah. Seems near future is not good.Corona is spreading and getting worse day by day. A micro organism is going to kneel down the most powerful living being in the earth. Scientists need to find a solution soon. People are dying. World is going backwards.

Yes sure. I am not watching with colour glasses. See they promised not to sign MCC. And we just saved from a major disaster.

There are only 2 parties who can rule the country. It is SP, RW group or MR and GR group. UNP isn't suitable as you saw that clearly in last 5 years. Also if needed further facts we can observe what happened 1988-2000.
They destroyed the best library of south asia which was located in Jaffna. A lot of people died that times. You seniors know them better. So many black marks for UNP. Even we saw their latest behavior in last 5 years. It was just disgusting. No love for the country.

So the option is GR government and people selected it wisely. Also not just because of UNP failed, People are having a new hope with GR.Seems he is different. And this is the last chance for them to correct their mistakes and lead this country to victory.Lets see  whether GR will be able to fulfill people's hope or not. And i ll be no longer support this government if they brake our hopes and go crazy. Till now it is satisfying but we need more. We means country. I am not asking for personal benefits. I m talking about good things which needed to happen to country.

Hope GR will be able to do that. He has some satisfying qualities which makes me to believe he can do this. Will see.

I'm telling this as a free person and i am not bound up to any party or a person. I need good to happen to this country.

Good Luck.

YES @KavinduTM I agree with you, only hope GR but the problem is even if they get 2/3 will MR allow GR to do things the way he wants  I don't think so. this is the problem this country is facing now. You all know what happened when  GR stopped the appointment of Sudarman to Rupawahini which was done by MR.. GL Smile Smile
