Nice graphic.

1. what a defeatist bunch of gamblers we have . truely I have lost value in my PF about 17% from january this year.

2. As someone suggests actualy if SAM falls to 2.20 and others like wise. I will sell my shirt and buy.

3. If anyone cares to review one of my earlier post this was very nearly predicted with good logic behind it.
4. for any market to function properly like any physical system it has to be RATIONAL.

5. What ruined the market is the bunch of irrational so called traders getting caught in a trap getting in to a buisness with absolutely no idea at all. ONLY THING THEY SEEMS TO KNOW IS SOME WORDS RELATED TO THE MARKET .
5. So this is a god given time to flush out the idiots out of the market even at the expense of loosing some time value of our investments.
6. Let the market florish again slowly but surely with some rational behavior.
7. today NFI is nearly 150mil. So great ... sell the shares held by the idiots to foriegners and let the rest hold on or better if you have some disposable funds start buying.
8. At trhe end of the the day the market is better -off with foriegn funds and rational local market players.
9. make sure the % Net foriegn holding of the market capitalization is kept bellow 10%. do not forget what happened in the Asean finacial crisis in 1997. the local rouge manipulators will be like chicken if that happens. CSE be aware.
10. Let CSE introduce the law of capital gains tax if a stock is held for less than say 6 months. ( that would have been the end of manipulation)

Amount of shares has to be considered.Has to be large volume.Otherwise short term retailors will be suffered.

that is the whole idea..... to discourage short term retail trading which is the root cause of this mess.
short term trading is nothing but geed in action. stock prices should be allowed to appreciate only on fundamentals. demand created by greed alone always causes jungle law .

Unethical manipulation is the root cause.Retailors has contributed to it by participating those rallies. But what we have to understand is it is the reality in stock market.I do not think there is a single stock market driven only by fundamentals.Whole idea of technical analysis is also enter at the correct time and exit at the correct time which is short term at the most of the time. (This is my personal opinion.)

I agree... my comment was for picking the stock in the first place. then TA will help in entry /exit timing. but picking the stock has to be on fundamentals.

Not only CSE, all other matured markets have manipulation goin on, but limited and controlled.. Ours is a very low cap market and few are controlling it under the guise of investing..

If sort term trades are discouranged, there'll be no activity in the market.. U may see your favourite fundamentally stong counters move abt 3-6 rupees a year, then it will trigger the alarms of low returns, might as well u keep the money on a FD for that retun.

As rijayasooriya pointed out, unetchical manipulation must be stopped, still the prolem is greed never ends..
