This is strictly personal idea Arrow war is over no much more things to panic and remember this a long term investment. up and downs should be expected as a nature unlike saving in a bank. decisions must be taken ourselves. this is not a recommend to holdon someones shares. lol!

What do you think if you can exit it from 200 level..? With current pressure this will change in unbelievable manner...As I said earlier do not sell your valuable stocks at loss. never..Hold it and take the maximum soon...

Foreign loans to be brought in by banks (approx $250m) and market at 14X trailing PER and 10-11X future FY12 PER. Possible favourable budget and possible cooling of the EURO crisis in the near term and hope of gradual stabilisation of the global economy. Money to come in to build Shangri-la, Sheraton and sale of underperforming assets in the near term. Exports will grow and imports will also grow but slower than this year i feel. Investment in the Hambantota port.

If this all happens in a series within a few weeks to months time over the next year then it can act as a positive trigger and improve investor sentiment. There is a lot of cash on the sidelines.

With the shares traded in this week, you can see that quality shares like JKH, RCL, CTC, LLUB, COMB, SAMP, etc were on the top of turnover list even though the volumes were low. Speculators don't buy these shares and only those who are intelligent medium to long term investors buy these stocks.

The worrying fact is large foreign sell orders. Also i feel government should not dabble with SEC like the cricket board and let it function independently with people who know what they are doing.

Good policy making with a long term view is the need of the hour!

Cheers!

We all are thinking very positively about the Sri Lankan economy, and the rest of the world. However if unthinkable happens are we prepared to face it?

Lets say a many negatives such as collapse of EURO, US double dip recession, China crash, Iran war etc... all happens at the same time. Can we survive in CSE or would the CSE survive?

What about
------------>Averaging
------------>Exit now(@ 10% loss) then buy at bottom level

Averaging-If you have bought a share at higher prices and now it is trading @ a low price, you can buy it @ low prices and you can sell all your shares with a small profit or with a small loss. Advantage of this method is it prevents you from getting a big loss by selling shares which have been bought at higher prices. In this method, buying the same share @ low prices normalize the average price of all shares.

Eg: You bought 100 X shares @ 10. Average of it is 10. Now it is trading @ 5. If you sell your shares now you will get a loss of 50%. But if you buy another 200 X shares @ 5 and sell all shares @ 8 you get a profit of rs.100. ( loss of rs.500 by first 100 X shares which have been bought @ 10 is neutralized by the profit coming from other 200 shares.)

Exit now- This method is not wise. Anyone cannot predict the bottom(lowest) price of a share. You only get a loss from this. So, don't follow it. (actually it tells to sell you shares @ a loss and again buy the same @ lowest price. But if it doesn't go down further after the clearance, you have nany chance to get a profit from it.)

Note: But if a share goes down highly daily, exiting from it by selling it with a loss is more worthy than holding it. You need to know the financial background of this share and it's normal price before taking this decision.
