at current price it is undervalued. even at 12 it is undervalued...
I have some shares.. I will keep it. today overall mkt is down.

Historically, the high seems to have been Rs. 104, can anybody tell me what happened for the value to drop so drastically?

since it mentioned as the dividend for the financial year 2010/2011, so it seems they have finalized the accounts for the Year Ended 31.03.2011, so shall we expect their financials soon?

Last time thy issued a dividend was on 2008 July. That was just 0.02 (two cents) but after so long thy r issuing a dividend again. This time almost 3% DPS which is considerably high. This means GLAS has made a profit and come out from loss making......... Very Happy

As a bottle manufacturer their sales depend on production. In turn production depends on furnace capacity. So QoQ EPS growth cant sustain as a trading company, since production capacity is limited (Glas is the only bottle manufacturer in Sri Lanka), unless production cost decreased.

Thus, look into at what level of the capacity they are operating now.

Yes, we may expect the report during this week. They released the 3Q financial statement on 20/01/2011.

i am following this share when it was at 2/= and entered in to it at 3.30/= onwards, but the only issue is i bought few shares at 3.30/= because of the losses

Wow you lucky man...
Did you notice that GLAS is utilizing about 90% of their capacity. Therefore the profit can deviate to the extend where they use the product mix, cost cutting, and increased in the prices, raw materials. Therefore is the company facing a bottle neck here ?

If they sell their land where they used to have the old factory they could also gain a good profit out of it....
