]Given below facts and figures for your information not criticizing or give opinion on the supreme court decision
In 2002 .DIST bought Sri Lanka Insurance corporation to the highest bid.
This move was challenge in supreme court in 2007 and decision was given in 2009
The case was filed by Parliamentarian Vasudeva Nanayakkara (Government).
according to court verdict originally bought amount should have been given to DIST through Treasury bill at the prevailing rates (It was 17% for 5 year TB ).
But treasury delaying the payment more than a year gave cash to DIST (on 31-12-2010)
It is widely remoured that DIST didn't get the full thing which they were supposed to get but part was missing.(may be correct and may not be ).
So far Treasury has not given a decision on earned profit during 2002 to 2009 which DIST is entitled as per court decision.
(Mind DIST only stared investing in heavily in CSE through its LIFE and GENERAL funds and the profits (Rs 15 Bn )recorded in 2010 was mainly invested by DIST )

That is Finish.
Please try to compare same incident with Chinese aeroplane manufacturing company who came for an investment in Galle Face .their monies will be reimbursed with interest.

Compare SUGA (Pellwatte ) with Embilipitiya Paper factory.after 3-5 years time same SUGA will be sold to a foreigner after making losses.

I can discuss a lot but I will keep myself limited , letting you to decide

I took a part of the above article since I was an investor of the above shares like many of us.
THAT IS WHY I BELIEVE INVESTOR SENTIMENT IS GOING DOWN AND THAT WILL AFFECT THE MARKET IN THE LONG RUN.

Bad thing is companies which are listed are also being influenced and they expect market sentiment to be positive.
people who have invested in SUGA , HDEV doesn't know their fate.
Tomorrow this might happened to some other company.

cedit issue seem to be still not resolved..If credit is given ... one day that need to be settled with an interest…best thing is to see the market grow without credit....

To tell the blunt truth, if we ask a question do we have a stock market? The answer would be we dont have e stock market. Never even close to having a STOCK MARKET atleast for the Next 5 yrs.
Just imagine we all depend on inside information its not our fault but we all want Quick buck Thats why the market is so dependent on credit.

Our fish market is 100% better.

Do u why leeman brother collapsed. Its due to the lending strategy. When they lent beyond the market norms and their own capacity the wall streets darling went in to the largest bankruptcy in the world.
Why all this its due to lending...
Why are we losing money ever day due to using other money simply to make Quick money when share price comes down all are screwed.
Dear brothers and sisters i only give u one advice.
Dont ever go for Quick money even if wewin once or twice we fail more the 100 times. Simply because it becomes betting or rather a casino and if we win someone else will surely lose.

Lets not use CREDIT, NOR GAMBLE, NOR GO FOR QUICK MONEY.

Brokers will say 100 stories to meet their targets Thats their objective but we need to be clear on what we want.

If credit is eased what we need to do is slowly clear what we have bought on credit and invest only our cash.
Then we dont have to worry on market the way it goes up or down.

Cheers.
