There will be a up ward trend.. but it will not fast moving close ASI to 70000
end of january 12.
Better not to put simply post with no valvue. no facts..

To break above the 200 day moving average around 6800 points is going to be a tough ask with the volumes we are seeing these days and lack of confidence prevailing.

Fundamentals are good and attractive in some sectors like banks and motors but more correction is possible in overvalued blue chip shares along with a bunch of JUNK which can have steep falls, which will impact the broad market.

Short term is looking green but medium term is bit reddish for now.

If the economic and political outlook remains the same (GDP growth at 7.5%, etc.), these are my expectations of how the ASI will move during 2012:
March: 6,400 / June: 6,850 / September: 7,300 / December: 7,750

A steady upward trend like this is more sustainable than a repeat of September 2010, the only month in which the ASI went up by more than 1,000 points...

for the Index to reach 7000 level, i think we have to wait atleast another 9 months.. i may be wrong.. but as long as its a steady growth, its good..

Only one way to bring 900 points. Manipulators need to play with the heavy weighted shares in big scale ie 20-25% price increase. Who knows he got a tips from those guys.

well Rishan i dont know how you predict 900more in 30 Days, but the way i see i dont think retailers can push the ASI higher than 6500 with the low volume and low turnover. Also ASI to reach 7000 it has to break the heavy resistance zone around 6500/6600
