One particular company owned by a businessman who highly praised some politicians and has supported them in politics.we will call him "A"
Unfortunately same type of company(same business) is owned by a another politician who is not in the same party .we will call him "D"
Second company owner(D)is needed to be punished and this is to be done legally ,but the problem is ,if he(D) is punished ,the businessman who supports the politicians (A)cannot be spared by the law.
So politician forced another wealthy businessman (we will call him "H")to buy the company which was owned by "A".
Interesting "A" bought this company some time back of government at Rs 6 per share and "H' had to buy this share at Rs 30 .After selling nearly 50 % by " A" to "H", " A" still owns nearly 30% , but "A" has covered his initial cost and booked a capital gain of 150%.

Since "H" is a prominent businessman ,he cannot tell what/who/why was forced him to buy this company .So he has taken the best option -Remain silent.
Not bad for "A" ,he got a good price and to show the public a different picture.
"D" was severely punished .
THIS IS AN ASSUMPTION BY ME.I MAY BE 100% WRONG. AND THESE TYPES OF THINGS WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN SRI LANKA.

Practically those are much possible in developing and under developing countries. These are happening and will happen.

actually i wanted to post the same sometimes back because i guessed the same.see now what happened?what is the amount of loss to the country.i think direct damage is few folds of the value of the taken over assets.investors got panic.harry sold some of his other assets to Chinese in fear.he will be on back foot after this.so many sold and left.

this is one of the dirtiest game done by the people in power.
so far voted for him. but not next time.as a voter i dont like this kind of abuse of power

So called "legal" process scared away many current & potential foreign investers. Consequently, the entire market is suffering now. This is how the entire country allowing such "legal" manipulations without much Ha Ho is being punished severally. At least you have guts to write this bro. Thank you.

And now nobody still cares about the small share holders of Company sold by A. ( along with other shareholder of other companies in similar fate). What happens to life time earned money of some small sprats.

This is one reason why some foriegners are still scared to invest. Who want there shares taken over forcibly and money tied upo with no resolution. Is it their fault they bought shares of companies and got caught in the middle.
