Successful investment strategies require an understanding of the forces of stock market nature, and disciplined rules of portfolio management.
There are those who win now, and those who will win later. If everyone were to win first place all at once, the victory would have no real meaning. There are those who win in one area of stocks, and others who win in other areas of stocks. If everyone was the best at the very same thing, think of how terribly tedious and predictable things would be. The disappointments are just as much a part of the process as the victories. Step confidently forward in precisely the direction that is most challenging to you. Because in that same direction, you’ll also find what is most rewarding to you. You’ve been through some of the hard part and already experienced some of the difficulty you must go through. So keep going, and make that experience count. Just because stock market has let you down doesn’t mean that you must let yourself down. Pick yourself up, quickly take a positive step, and know that you’re closer to reaching your goal than you’ve ever been before. Certainly stock market can be painful and inconvenient, frustrating and disappointing. Still, it is absolutely worth all the trouble and more. Regrets teach you about your mistakes in a compelling, personally meaningful way. Go ahead, learn their lessons, and transform your past mistakes into new successes.
Effort creates value, and is an essential part of stock market. Though it is not always easy, and sometimes fails to produce the desired results, it is always worth the trouble. Sure, it might be frustrating and tedious, and yet that will build the power of your patience. Refuse to listen to your own excuses. Demand integrity, commitment and persistence from yourself in all your undertakings. Each day, each challenge, each experience, each encounter has made you more knowledgeable, more capable, and more effective. Though many things will go wrong, you know from experience that even in adversity there is much value to be gained. Each obstacle makes the eventual achievement all the more rewarding.
Worries are worthless, so don’t bother with them. Resentment over a difficult situation actually makes that situation worse, so remind yourself there’s no point in it.
Stop fighting against what you must do and allow your best efforts to flow.
