Dear Traders and Investors,

BUKI & CARS holds nearly 10% of the Market Cap & yet to show profits from their core businesses.
This group was praised by many broker huts few months ago. I don’t say its a junk share but still its an under performing heavyweight company.

BUKI & CARS share prices has been decreasing from unrealistic prices but yet to discover its true values.

The more you buy shares from this group at current level the more you are digging your own grave. If you are buying shares from these companies and pushing the prices high mean you are making the CSE so unattractive to foreigners. We already having 1000’s of issues to face and you are making it worse.

So whenever possible please please try to avoid buying new shares from this company.

Rather than insulting the original poster, it would be better if you can provide facts why BUKI & CARS are the best stocks in the market. Fundamentally these two shares are overvalued if you remove one off capital gain.

If you think otherwise , it would be good to let us know why you oppose and say UKBoy is misleading.

UKBoy said based on earnings of their core business the CARS/BUKI does not justify their current price.
Yes, I agree with UKBoy that though the companies are good they are not undervalued.

CARS
Dec eps rs 1.27
NAV 125
9 Month Eps Rs 14.32
Current share price : Rs 455

With annualized earnings Pe is over 22.

BUKI

Dec eps rs 1.61
NAV 140
9 Month Eps Rs 20.71

With annualized earnings Pe is over 30

I am not saying the way MarketW replied is perfect. But he is not the one who should come with details. First poster has to come with supportive facts like SLStock post

A minor modification to the comment I made earlier. I admit that I have made this comment without reading the income statement properly. CARS and BUKI have calculated the EPS after eliminating the gain from non-recurrent income. Unlike other companies, CARS/BUKI have done fair calculation. However, still these companies are overvalued compare to other companies.

Can anyone come up with future prospects of these companies!

Many of investors have their own loving shares, I too have previous, my one was BRWN, after i ate a huge loss from it, i too realised what went worng for me. Then i statred to analyse more fundamentally before buy.

May be those two are MarketW's loving shares. But the way he replyed is not acceptable as we are "Kruthakchana" people. Dear Friend, pls analyse their IS & BS, then you will identify what UKboy has written. Do not get angry, Be happy & study before you falling love with any share. That is the lesson that i have learned.

What does the large figure shown as inventories in BUKI results mean ?

Could the audited accounts be a lot different to the draft accounts ?

What is the exchange rate impact on CARS group ?

I am a financial moron who failed his O levels. I have been learning a lot from all the educated guys posting on the forum.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. The supreme gift.

exchange rate will impact the CARS and BUKI.
They have lot of foreign assets with compared to local assets.
Their valuation will remain in Dollars/Malaysian,Indonesian currency. Now valuation from SLR will be more than it was @110

1 Dollar asset
3months ago 110 rupee
Now 120 rupee

check segmental results and find how worth assets they have in oil palm and vveg fats

Hey MarketW,

When I go through your wonderful topics I can see why you are so frustrated at the moment.

Imagine all the people who bought shares because of your intelligent posts.

If you dont know when to sell shares man you should get some lessons rather jump up n down like a donkey in Puttalam. I can see you have been sh**ing all over yourself in last 6 months or so. Check your own topics if you have any doubts..!!!!

I think its time you to get a life..! Rolling Eyes

Dont mislead the others. I never said CARS & BUKI are bad shares only the price you are willing to pay is not right.
About 12 months ago many pundiths like you said that we need to pay premium to buy Blue chips. Thats absolutely rubbish.

I dont need to show fact n figures about CARS and BUKI. If you really desperate just go n check the their financials. Financial reports are there for that purpose.

Prices of CAR & BUKI has been a real curse to CSE. I'm not too worrying if RGEM price go over Rs 1000.00, WAPO price go over 250.00, HVA price go over Rs 100.00 etc. But if you keep buying BUKI and CARS shares and keeps pushing their prices up mean you will increase the market P/E values back to unrealistic level.
It will not only hurt you but all of us.

However I wish you all the best. but waiting to hear from you again...!

I loving these shares and group more than 5 years, Still loving.. Because i entered @ very cheap price before split, then u can imagine my cost. these shares helped me to develop a sizable portfolio. I agreed with UKboy, What he was trying to say is these both seriously influenced in the index by buying @ high price or selling @ lowest price due to it illiquid nature. Based on the fundamental mesurement even the current price also bit overvalued, that is the nature of these stocks trading @ high PE. I can remember EPF was collecting CARS @ Rs.500, Rs.600 and BUKI was @ Rs.800, Rs.1,000 ( that is their strategy to hold it for life time), that not mean these price are undervalued.

Since i have been following these shares more than 5 years CARS drops from Rs.600 ( Aug 2011) to Rs.450 and BUKI Rs.1,000 to Rs.800 due to its illiquid nature and mkt condition, that everyone have to accept. As Ukboy predicted, these shares can comedown even less than these price, if this mkt condition prevails. At the same time both the shares will seriously influence in the index also, that may be one reason last week EPF was collecting CARS and BUKI to keep the index.

Why are those inactive palm oil companies still listed? I remember they were going to be removed from the market long time ago.

but i do think even though it may distort the picture whats more important right now is to have the market indicies in green for a while and gain confidence of investors. how foreigners view the marke t is a secondary matter. buying the heavy weinght stocks can easily uplift the market to green and will push it up. thats the primary need now not the foreigners.

yeah like the CARS 100 bought at 475 in the morning. Let's fool the locals so that they gain "confidence" Very Happy

I'm also waiting to hear that great news (unless I missed it).. These highly illiquids should not be trading in a tiny market like CSE.

Ex: Market Cap of THE INDO MALAY PLC is almost equivalent to Softlogic Holdings & DIMO.

Market cap of THE GOOD HOPE PLC is almost equivalent to UML. I think its very very unfair. Evil or Very Mad
