I just checked with heramilaya and JBS online trading systems. both shows the prices of trades made in odd lots,

VPEL total volume 21,001

last trade 8.00
number of shares - 1
price up by 0.60

Same for some other shares also..

todays top looser SING down by 21.56% whilst the traded quantity is only 2 shares
2nd top looser is BOPL traded quantity is 17
3rd looser is MADU traded only 5 shares

Top Gainer is BREW up by 38% traded only 1 share.

All above from JBS site. same is there in Heramilaya site also..is this due to the new ATS system, if the new system start counting the odd lot prices for index calculations our indexes will become volatile like never before. even trade of just 1 share can trigger the market halt.

Yes Utter Chaos.

What a way to to manipulate market index. Look at how many companies traded with volume like 1 0r 2 . Some of them have 30% gain over the day but with 1 share traded.

Retailers seems utterly confused and maybe some broker systems might not work also. Turnover at 11.30am 109 Million! Maybe if this does change it might be lowest traded day for several years.

Is this what had been tested for months! By the way if you do not want some one to only buy 1 share what do you do?

I put a 200 sell order . Someone bought 26 shares. I did not want to sell 26 I wanted to sell 100. Not sure how to restrict minimum quantity like in ODD lots before

But it seams in calculating ASI and Milanka the prices are averaged.

Once i saw DIAL going with a increace in price. But imediately the ASI droped a little (before other trades) So it seams that the way of calculating the indexes have changed.

Did anybody identified such. Shocked

I don't think you can do anything as the shares goes on less than 100, i feel only option left to you is to wait until the balance get filled.

If you want to buy only 1 share put 1 share and the price you wanted

I cant see an option to restrict minimum quantity to 100 in DirectFN ?

in CDAX i can see an option but does it actually works? Im not familiar with CDAX

as you guys said its going to be a manipulator's playground as anybody can manipulate ASI just by buying or selling one share.

This is stupid. The regular Sri Lankan style. They should ignore 1 lots from calculations and displaying or adjust share prices / consoildate all shares 100 to 1. So that 1 is like the 100 before. Market will go crazy with 1 share of companies like CARS, BUKI.

Does CSE place for experiment lab? Retail Investors are not mice for testing outdated politicos ideologies

What has done to CSE this time?

Any single 1 number shares can manipulate whole market
Please revert back previous system before kill us

BTW, are brokers or retailer testing their systems for fun ?

Why buy 1 share of FLCH and SEMB . I saw some people do. Want to gain whopping 100% Or with minimum broker fees it is that you want to loose 600%

If some one buys a share for 1 rupee, the company has to spent a lot on postage to send AGM invitations, Annual reports etc Smile. Its gonna be fun now.

i am fakely satisy due to my NET DEFICIT getting bit reduced due to 1-10 share traded at upward price. This will also give fake margin boost. Broker huts will be furious in posting/generating advices for 01 share lots. God knows who recommended this joke system?

How to pay dividends for 1 or 2 share holders? Imagine a company pays 0.50 per share so will they have to write a check for rs0.50? As I heard cost of one check book is about 600 rupees.

Next step should be half of a share.
1/2 shares of COMB @ Rs 50
1/4 shares of COMB @ Rs 25

What happens to the sellers whose 100 shares at Rs. 2 get divided into 50 or 100 small lots. May be the sellers has a big negative value to pay all the broker charges instead of they getting any money. You sell for Rs. 2 for a total of Rs.200 sales and pay Rs. 2000 as broker charges...
