UNHRC must apologize from Sri Lanka

Today (27th February) is “The Day” that all the elements who have been conspiring against Sri Lanka, come to stage with their true faces; at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
US-led Western and European countries are now on an aggressive campaign with all fake, distorted and doctored facts to attack Sri Lanka – the only state which wiped off brutal terrorism from its soil, in the recent past. Sri Lankan defeated LTTE terrorism without the help of any outside army. It’s not that they don’t know what LTTE terrorist organization was and what they did worldwide. These elements knew that LTTE had a worldwide network for human smuggling, drug trafficking and all other illegal trades and still they are active in foreign soil even though they were totally defeated in Sri Lanka. These are well known facts internationally. But, US and its allies are shamelessly out there representing the international pro-LTTE Diaspora; pathetically showing their nudity.
US and its allies who kept their mouths zipped for 30 long years, when Sri Lanka suffered brutal LTTE terrorism, are now come out in the guise of do-gooders for their own version of “Human Rights”, alleging Sri Lankan security forces for War crimes. It’s time for the UN member states to re-think on what agendas they currently act for; is it for the very need for which the UN was established or for agendas of handful elements.
UN’s primary responsibility WAS to eliminate war-like situations and establish world peace. Now in recent history UN has behaved in such a way which is totally different from its basic purpose. For example; for the treatment they gave to Libya is unaccepted and it’s actually the UN which is to be brought before the International War Crime tribunal. In the name of “Humanitarian assistance to Libya” what exactly they did was arming Libyan rebels to fight against the Libyan leader. Apparently in today’s version, “Humanitarian Assistance” is “providing Arms”. Libyan leader was a dictator; True. But it’s not to be forgotten that he made his people rid of poverty. The world still remembers the treatment this so-called”powerful states” gave to Libyan leader and how enthusiastically their Media gang telecasted it.
Sri Lanka also got a Ship full of sent by these US-led allies to LTTE terrorists with “Humanitarian Aids” in 2009. This ship would have contained “Humanitarian Aid” which is more like what is sent to Libya. Sri Lankan Navy threatened to destroy the Ship if it enters Sri Lankan territorial waters. All these incidents tell one thing; that any state can defeat terrorism in more western-favored way; not with a home-grown solution. If a state does not obey the West, it must prepare to be vanquished. If anybody go by the West’s agenda, they are all allowed go ahead, else get beheaded. So this West justifies the massacres LTTE terrorist carried out in Sri Lanka. But they want to investigate how the LTTE terrorists died in the battlefield.
When will the American troops get tried for what they committed in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan? Millions of innocent unarmed civilians were killed by the US-UK troops in those countries ? When will these issues get addressed in the UNHRC ? How can US justify killing of millions and millions of civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki US’s atomic bomb experiment? US do not mind the aftermath or consequences of their filthy acts. The US has invaded many states in the world. When will they pay for their sins?
It that case, China is an exception. China has not invaded any country but at the same time has not allowed any outside state to touch their soil illegally. They had fought for their rights. Just as what Sri Lankan did. Sri Lankan security troops prevented their motherland breaking in to pieces and conquered the LTTE terrorism to unite the country. And that’s the fault Sri Lanka has done.
Sri Lanka is Sri Lanka. Not Iraq; not Pakistan; not Afghanistan or even not Libya. Sri Lanka is an independent country with the leader elected by the general public.
Sri Lanka has rehabilitated the almost all the LTTE cadres who were surrendered and arrested by the Sri Lankan troops at the end of the war against terrorism. LTTE terrorists continued to recruit child soldiers even though they gave written promises to UN envoy- Olara Otunu, when he visited Sri Lanka. All the rehabilitated LTTE cadres were given education, vocational training and are released to the society to lead normal lives. Why the US-led allies do not talk about the Human Rights of the LTTE child soldiers?
Sri Lanka is the only country in the world which managed to successfully provide all necessary amenities to such a massive crowd at once and almost all of those displaced people have been resettled within just 3 years. These are considered to be wrong according to the US’s plans. None of these issues would have come up, if Sri Lanka allowed the US-led western countries to take pleasure in its natural resources. Going against the US-favored agenda is the crime committed by Sri Lanka.
The “Darusman Report” also have backed the US and its allies by giving a more US-type report. What right the Ban Ki Moon-appointed Darusman panel has to question Sri Lanka about the Wanni Humanitarian Mission against LTTE terrorism? And has Ban Ki Moon being given power to appoint such a panel? This is more like an informal panel. Who has born the expenses of this panel ? is it the UN or anybody else? Can Ban Ki Moon pay for a panel which he himself has appointed? Can the rest of the world accept this report and allow a sovereign state to be influenced by a the panel – which have not even stepped in to the country and acting on their own “report” prepared going by the doctored facts of pro-LTTE Diaspora?
Now Ban Ki Moon can appoint more Darusman-like panels to investigate about Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. He can call for special Human Rights Council meetings to act about the massive killings happened in those countries. And if he can go in a better path and bring justice to those countries, may be Ban Ki Mon also be eligible for the next Nobel Peace prize. If not, at least now the so-called “powerful states” must stop using United Nations as a Cat’s paw and Ban Ki Moon as a puppet.
United Nations is now more like a private entity.
Considering all these facts, it’s worth thinking on the path which Navanethan Pillay drives Human Rights Council, which she heads. Is it accordingly to the UN charter or for an agenda of a few countries ? The way she acts, has raised that doubt. If she has become the puppet of certain countries, then indeed it’s shameful. Furthermore, the double standards of Navanethan Pillay and Ban Ki Moon have come to light. And if that is the situation of United Nations – most prestigious organization in the world formed to establish Peace in the World – UNHRC must apologize from Sri Lanka for what it did ever since Sri Lanka defeated LTTE terrorism.
