SEC and CSE is likely to take disciplinary action against Taprobane Securities and its CEO for bringing stock market in to controversy and disrepute by carrying out a controversial deal that had been finally reversed by his excellency the president of Sri Lanka.

Taprobane Stock Brokering license is likely to be suspended pending full inquiry and disciplinary action likely to be taken against brokers involved in the said transaction. "SEC should apply the 'fit and proper' test on all the parties involved in the transaction and take appropriate disciplinary action against them" sourced connected to the Broker Association said.

Let's watch and see what action regulators are going take and whether they in the payroll of the stock brokering company or they are fit and proper to be regulators.

It appears that eyes of the SEC & CSE has been opened belatedly by the prompt action by HE the President. After all it is their job to watch & take appropriate action against such unethical transactions. They should not wait until the HE intervenes. ?Are they trying to save themself from any investigation by the Presidents office. I think so.

First we need to suspend the selection of people representatives.
Thugs,Drug dealers so and so are in politics.
They then appoint their henchman for the posts.
What you want to expect from them?
First we need to change our attitude.

Very correct. What is the purpose of paying big salaries and maintaining SEC if they are not doing their job? It's our money spend on them (SEC fees).
We all know what they did to the market for more than 1 year. Only thing they do is, finding the best possible way to bring down the market.

What about the party involved @ NSB. There should be a full investigation, and should punish the culprits.

But it should be a genuine one. Not like the inquires carried out by SLFP on the controversial minister from Gampaha District.

If NSB's appetite for TFC is genuine, they can place the buy order between 30-35 levels, they will get the required quantity.

Sri Lanka broking community full of crooks, who work for rich and elite in expense of public funds and retail investors. Government had to take action against this unjust transaction done by casino barons and drug lords along with corrupt directors at NSB. Thanks to journalism public funds were saved from fraudsters who run the stock market! for time being.

Lets see this time the so called "watch dog" the SEC who talk tough and does nothing to penalize these fraudsters who trying to make a killing using hard earned public funds at NSB and EPF. I doubt they do anything!
After all the system should prevail according to some top directors at SEC who work for benefit of rich n elite! That's why they got rid of former dhairperson who did the right things for the market much to dismay of bro-crooks!
