I'm still waiting for 4725 to be tested again. If that level holds, it would be the second part of the 'double bottom pattern' - one of the most reliable indicators of a market bottom...

4725 tested meaning market coming down close to that level and recovering? Or staying above that level for a while?

Yup, I also have the same question... how long will it take to test the 4725 level? is it possible that it will never be touched again? scratch

Cheers!

Holding at 4725 does not complete the double bottom pattern. Then it has to break the prior resistance level also with supportive evidence of volume. If that resistance is not broken then market can go sideway.

Another thing which worries me is duration for this pattern formation. This may be too short. It is said longer the duration the pattern is more reliable.

That's the big question...
If that support level holds, that's the bottom.
If the index crashes through that level, that's bad news...

All this is mere hypothesis... If I had answers to questions like that, I would not be sitting here right now. Very Happy
It is certainly possible that 4725 will never be touched again, but I don't know for sure.
Whitebull's comments are also very relevant...
There are too many IFs and BUTs, but that's the way the market is - Unpredictable.

Market was stagnant for couple of days. Today in the morning I expect market to come down. The reason was remaining force selling and profit taking. Even I was in the selling side, yesterday and today.

But market absorbed the selling very encouragingly though in small quantities. If the market can absorb the profit bookings it will create an uptrend. During last few days market absorbed about two profit cycles. Hope this will continue. Best thing is to take short positions in trading portfolios while holding and collecting good shares into investment portfolios.

Normally I am not following TA. In this market I feel TA is bit late. TA is good in highly liquid market. What we have now is less selling other than forced ones. Always selling side is weak in order books.

Hope June will be an eventful month.

True. This is what market lacks at the moment. CONFIDENCE. Valuations are attractive.

CONFIDENCE -----> trigger MORE BUYING

MORE BUYING -----> trigger TA signals

TA SIGNALS ------> trigger 2nd buying wave

when looking at the trade volume seem to be no selling presure or force selling. there are enough holding powers visible but need to be developed investor confidence for the bull run. lets see next week how economic and polictical situations are developed.

AS I always said this forum is a small representation of CSE. YEs, if more and more people start coming and promotions with positve comments keep coming it is certainly a positive signal. If so Moderator team can get ready :-)

yes.bull run is the start of a big uptrend. if a bull run starts this week.market will just just just pass 6000 around to 6200 and come down at 6000 and stay for a while and then it is up to the big players to take it up or down. if no one interferes then the market will again panic. and sell fast in hopes of buying low.
