Sri Lanka Equity Forum (SLEF) had been in the forefront of the development of the capital market and the retail participation of Sri Lanka since the boom after the end of the war in 2009. As far as I believe therefore it is important that as the premier stock market forum that boosted the retail participation of Colombo Stock Exchange we ourselves open the eyes of relevant bodies to be wise decisive makers. I have seen many premier newspapers and online electronic media publications conducting various polls on the stock market of Sri Lanka.

But as a forum which has over 7000 retailers and may be even top investors I as a member of this forum believe we have the strong sample crowd who can present their views and opinion on the current situation of the stock market. Thus I decided after many posts nearly over 100000 posts in this forum we can be participants of a very important poll that will help many to understand what should be done next.

I hope this poll will even be in the forecast of media on next couple of days.

Pleas do vote for above questions kindly...

Please tick the Box if you agree with any of the statements.

This is more like a questionnaire than a poll.

anyway the questions are yes/no type ones. Please make them statements instead of questions for sanity sake.

I agree.
Otherwise, if a person disagrees with all the statements, he will not tick any box... How would you know his opinion?

I too had the same question but voted for the near best option available. This does not cover all important independance the SEC should have to perform its legitimate duties. It appears that it presumes that the SEC is given a free hand to perform its duties. That is not correct and its unfair.

This is more like the poster's views expressed as a questionnaire. Smile Probably like a statement made by a high net worth investor who is under investigation from the regulators or a broker.

THIS POLL SEEMS ALRIGHT it is a multiple choice Q&A Poll as per visibility. Even in Sri Lankan Ballet Paper if you put a choice of a man they don't put yes or no simply because people who doesn't like can avoid voting. We will be a counting the results based on how many people voted out of the entire forum.

Of course they are statements but polls have question types.

Several market participants and small time investors had already witnessed SEC and CSE work in two different directions at times and many have argued it is simply because the people at CSE wants to make CSE a place that favours only a few individuals in the country to make money.

It is the vote for key positions & over regulations. Rule of law with good governance would have been given more weight. Just my thought only.

So you count votes divide by what? Total members? Total views? Smile
(Definitely one of the educated Sri Lankan university graduates and professors who are making the Z score. Nope the minister is not making Z scores or marking papers. It's the Sri Lankan educated elite set's work)
