Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf says Sri Lanka and Pakistan needs to further enhance trading activities between the two nations.
He says there is potential for such enhancement of trade between the two countries.
Pakistani Premier has made this statement, when the Sri Lankan envoy in Pakistan Air Chief Marshal (Retd) Jayalath Weerakkody met the new Pakistani Premier at the PM’s house.
Raja Pervez Ashraf has also has emphasized the need for people-to-people, institution-to-institution and government- to-government exchanges between the two countries.
Trade between Sri Lanka and Pakistan stands around US$ 400 million per annum.
