I started investing in September last year and today only I made my first big profit. Bought FREE at 1.70 and sold it at 2.30. It was just 9000 shares and the profit was just Rs. 5000 but it was a 32% profit.
It took me a long time but I think I have finally been able to control my mind so that I have the courage to buy when others sell and sell when others buy.

Congratulations! Make it a habit. 2012 market is much easy than 2011 if you study the trends and control the feelings on trading.

Why did u exit in full? How do u know in advance the turning point?

Honestly, this is an area where I am weak too. When exactly to sell as thing can change suddenly.

I sold out because I thought this green wont last long and it seems like I was correct. I think it'll again go down to 1.80 or 1.90. A few red days and I can start collecting again.

To be consistently profitable you need to let your winners run specially at cse with such huge commissions. Thats why we need to trade the weekly trend, not the daily Smile

Cover the risk and take a small profit and leave the rest in for the major trend. To do that you need predefined stop losses before you enter any trade and strictly adhere to the plan.

Well done. mate.I feel your strategy is safe.But sometime it may not work,specially in bull run because anybody cant predict turning points correctly.

Let's describe the fact!!!

If you bought 9000 Shares @ 1.70, Total Cost = 15,471.36

If you sold 201 Shares @ 2.30, Total Received = 457.12

If you sold 8799 Shares @ 2.20, Total Received = 19,140.99

So, Total Received = 4,126.75 ( 26.67 % with Buying & Selling Commission )
( 28.11 % with Buying Commission Only)
