The presentations will be in the format of three half day sessions to be conducted on three different days. Members may participate in each of the sessions, in accordance with your area of work or preference.
Session 1 will be held on Thursday, August 16th 2012. It will be conducted by M R Ranaraja, Superintendent of Customs. He will speak on the Introduction to the Department of Sri Lanka Customs, Goods Valuation and Export Procedures. Session 2 will be held on Friday, August 17th 2012. The session will be conducted by J A D A Perera Deputy Director of Customs and will deal with Goods Classification & Harmonised System and Import Procedures. Session 3 will be held on Thursday August 30th 2012. It will be conducted by S Nethkunananthen, Deputy Director of Customs. The areas discussed will be Export facilitation, Bonding and Entrepot Trade.
